why do many haters complain abiut thickness.... I mean, gosh...try putting fule qwerty keyboard in the size of the iCrap. let's see how well you could hold the device.

It's simple. You cannot expect any phone to be slim, lightweight and at the same time powerful, long lasting battery, good camara etc, etc,
There are plenty of ladies type phones on the market which you might prefer if you find the incredible weight of 181 grams too much for you!
However, if you want a serious phone, may I suggest the Nokia E72.

If I buy Nokia N900 now, can i upgrade the OS from Maemo 5 to Maemo 6 when the OS is released? Is that possible? Experts opinion required.

it's an amzing phone for which i was searching. after comparing with n97, it lacks in handwriting recognition,bluetooth version and the most important the java.otherwise, in general consideration, it is fabulous and great.

why Nokia is not developing Slim Mobile Phone like iphone ? Everytime Nokia is making very thick mobile phone. In everyphone it is keeping 5 Megpixel camera. N900 has good features but it is very thick and the same 5megapixel camera. Nokia should develop again a phone like N900 with more pixels camera, tv ,the phone should be Slim etc

What's the function of portrait mode?

It would entirely depend on your needs,its a vry good alternative 4a laptop..if you just need a basic phn.n really dont use technology n ur activities are still in d primitive prd.buy d smallest phn.u cud find n quit whining..its that simple.
