Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970No matter how good the hardware is, Android will most likely never even be close to real Linux (like Maemo). Android is more like Google's own OS, for the mid-end market. Why else doesn't any Android phone have a GPU for example?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The last OS motorola "took care of" was UIQ and thanks to motorola's special touch the entire OS was a failure and the entire UIQ branch was wiped out.

Android hasn't atracted much interest yet and under motorolla... you get where the skepticism comes from...

What's the big deal of apple finally making a functional os that... unfortunately totally kills the battery...

Anonymous, 13 Oct 2009So tell me about the factories where Nokia's are made, I su... moreNokia is made in europe, in Germany, Hungary, Romania and ofcourse Finland (some other nordic countries I couldn't point for sure aswell)

Yes, they do a pretty good job at competing with forced labour while having to pay a decent salary to their workers.

The secret lays in technology and automation instead of having thousands of people doing robotic work for free.

Apple was never open and never told where it's devices were made until the unfortunate accident and the most chips in the device have their original markings erased and replaced with P/N.

So yes it's possible both to have high end devices and give back to the society instead of feeding upon the poor(who make the phones) and the naive(who buy them).

...you want cheap stuff, that's the price you pay at least Apple is open about their Chinese factories and have released details of them unlike other companies.

If I cared about those things I wouldn't have bought an iPhone, nor would a lot of other people it seems.

Symbian phones have done that for years, Symbian is so last year the new messiah of the cult of the Nokians is Maemo, go spread the word among the Nokia sheep (just don't mention MMS or that it's stuck in landscape).

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970N900 blows the N97 away in almost every single spec, but N97 has a wider app catalogue and nicer design. So what do you prefer? No doubt about that the N900 is the king of specs, but is that what you need? If so, then it's probably the best phone to get.

However, keep in mind that it isn't Java compatible right now, but it does still have the best browser on the market.

You actually can't talk about the defects the iphone has or the miserable conditions in wich the people who make it, work.

All we can do is have a laugh about all the sheep coming over here beeing sorry of how much money they've thrown on a ladies device.

So please stop with this discussion about the iPhone and Nokia. The iPhone is just a fancy iPod with a phone, soon it won't be even considered a high-end smartphone at all, just read this article and stop whining:

                          http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/10556.html

And 90,000 apps, this just makes me laugh. Maybe less than 1% of them are really usable. Linux has billions of them. Just wait and see.
