Because this phone is jus... moreTrollin' loud n clear I see.
Maemo 5 is, if you know how to count, FIVE.
There were FOUR before it. It's an open OS, linux, yada yada. It's the OS to go for, really. No need to jailbr*ak to get anywhere or do anything.
The ONLY qualm someone might have about it is on it's weight and thickness, but having a physical keyboard that's understandable.

Plus it's not the same CPU like the otherx so the battery power consumtion is alot lower and the fact that it uses resesitive so it doesn't need lots of power to run and it'x running maemo so it doesn't need much resorces

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2009the nokia flagship store in NY city got N900 out on display... moreThanks for the good word man since i'm from canada that's not possible but amazon.com delivers to canada so i'm pre ordering if a few weeks for sure plus i still have my 16gb card in my 5800 and gonna drop some cash for an extra battery but how are the headphones like look like ear buds i like

the nokia flagship store in NY city got N900 out on display.. i went there yesterday to check it out.. and let me tell you people is simply rocking.. this phone looks good in hand... feels light.. not to big or not to small just a perfect size for any pocket.. so make a trip to the store if you can...

Negative side of this phone is the resistve touchscreen which is awful....they should make a capacitive touchscreen N900...how about an android nokia phone?i would buy it.lol
