I suppose that's why you like a thicker phone.

Theres a new iphone app called "Rack Up".

You press the icon "Rack Up" and then you shove your iphone 3GS up your butt hole as far as it will go, wait only 10 seconds until you hear the sound "katching" - Then look at your iphone screen and it will tell you how much money Apple has "Racked Up" so far on iphone sales to the masses of isheep. LOL

To the masses of isheep iphone users who succumb to brain washing and profiteering of the smart companies. The app store has a new app for you. It's the app brainwash update! APWASH.

If you want to invest money in a mobile phone company, choose apple but if you want a good intelligent mobile phone, choose Nokia.

If you want to invest money in a burger chain, choose McDonalds but if you want to eat a really good burger, choose Burger King!

I would invest in Apple as a company but I would never buy an isheep phone.

      Comments anyone?

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2009There is no mention of an FM radio in the user guide by Nok... moreNor was there in previous MANUALS of the NXXX series.
There wil be custom radio apps available as maemo is an open source operating system and developers have acces to all hardware layers. There is no need to embed silly things such a radio player in the OS.
Maemo is all about free choice.

Unlike apple where you have to jailbreak to get access to simple functions such as bluetooth.

            http://www.maemo-freak.com/index.php/miscellaneous/1261-nokia-announces-official-qt-port-to-maemo-5

QT libraries are officially available on Maemo5, meaning increased compatibility of applications with Symbian and Windows mobile.
Apps can now be coded to run on all three operating systems.

As usual android and apple fall behind, but with apple beeing still the only brand not supporting flash and video-call.

Beshara, 09 Oct 2009Nokia has relelased a few of these as a pre-realease triall... moreI don't think you have a company (WWW.?) or the phone at all.
Nokia posts available colors months before they're actually available on their sites.

Please provide 5 original photos of at least 5 megapixels original unaltered samples of the device on a file uploading site, not photo-sharing that shrinks the pics.

                Looking forward, thanks.

Nokia has relelased a few of these as a pre-realease trialling period. Our phone company was given one, surprisingly in chrome-silver, for pre-release review. I'v been using it for the past couple of days. So far the most outstanding feature is the framerate when watching videos and the lcd sharpness. Other than that the phone has no upsides in comparison to the n97. Its not a comfortable fit in the hand, the qwerty keyboard is too hard to use, and at times, the internet browser drops from 3g to gprs. Perhaps all will be resolved upon release. Other than that, the phone certainly features many technological advancements, such as the ability to write messages through voice recognition and a revolutuionary menu layout.

Simon, 09 Oct 2009I love the concept of this phone and I can't wait to order.... moreWell... the N900 uses the next generation radio transmitter which Nokia has begun to ship lately. I don't know if the GSM reception is good, but it's known for sure that the HSPA is (downlink: 10.2 mbps; uplink: 2.0 mbps).

                              Guys,

Interestingly the user manual of N900 is already availble at the Nokia US site:

                              http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/nam/phones/guides/Nokia_N900_Rover_en-US_es-LAM.pdf

As per Amazon Uk, the release date is 26th October.

                              Enjoy!!!

I am a bit dubious about pre-ordering now however, only because of an advert I recently heard on the radio regarding poor reception on new phones generally. It advised testing any new phone out first before committing to it for a long contract period.

Although the N900 has all these features, which I love, what is it like as a phone?
I would hate to find that it has poor reception!! I want it as a phone foremost!

Finally a phone that looks like it will deliver as a converged device. This looks like the best overall spec'ed device around. I'm looking forward to seeing the audio spec of this device. For someone who is not looking for style over function, but function over style this is looking like a real contender. I jumper ship from Nokia years ago, but this one looks like bring me back into the fold. Nice one Nokia, you just need to sort out the price now and I'll being having 1 for me and 1 for the wife. 3GS, N97 or HTC Hero I don't think so.
