Just been ready the comment here, and this is my general opinion. I think is the phone of the century really awesome & cool phone. Here is the real iphone competitor.
I'm in dilemma now, wanted to get iphone really soon probably in a day time. But now this phone just release making me confuse who should i pick?

Resistive screens are basically made of layers on top of each other, which is why they need a stylus or something hard to force pressure on it (so the phone registers the input).
data entry tends to be more precise. So it's not that the screen is necessarily more precise, but the tool used on it is.

Capacitives are known for gorgeous displays with fuller, more vibrant color, but users input data using a finger, which isn't too exact.

i wish nokia will start using capacitive touch screens. i mean, this phone would definitely cost a lot so it deserves a more expensive screen.

what a waste, resistive screen hahahaha! touch phone must be responsive like the iphone..with resistive screen its annoying you can even used a pen or a stick to touch the screen,while in capacitive it only responds to your finger..ITS A MUST FOR ANY TOUCH PHONE to have a capacitive rather than resistive..that`s why they keep comparing any latest phone to the iphone because they can`t copy the simple touch technology this phone has..plus who would need a qwerty pad a touch phone does`nt need it.

In fact they did, and do! And if we go to the Ipods for example, Microsoft just gave them a gentle back hand slap with the 1st generation Zune, now...Wait till the Zune HD arrives, they already said they will lower prices and introduce another boring Ipod. And if you compare the next Iphone, tell me it isn't an exact copy of the Zune HD. Hmmmm, what a coincidence!

definitely prefer a good resistive screen over capacitive.
really don't get all the hype around capacitive
and also don't get the hype around more pixels to the camera, while still using shitty lenses that would simply not allow more information for all the "12mp" sensors, creating huge image files with same unde 1mp info on them

Someone posted this yesterday. READ AGAIN.
Capacitive screens have many disadvantages over resistive. I have owned both iPhones and many resistive TS smartphones. Don't believe all the hype. I definitely prefer resistive over capacitive for the following reasons.
- You can't use anything except your damn fingers (yeah with the exception of special stylus). No nails, no gloves, no "normal" stylus, nothing pointy etc. You also have to touch your screen at a specific angle because your nails get in the way sometimes etc. You have be conscious the way you touch the screen which you don't have to with resistive.
- Much less accurate that's why the damn iPhone icons are so big, cumbersome and vulgar. Waste of screen estate in most apps. This already defeats many apps that can't be built for the iPhone. For example I can't imagine trying to work on a spreadsheet...
- No feedback. With resistive it feels natural to press. With capacitive you don't get any feedback at all.
- Easily have accidental touches which is really annoying. With resistive you can get away with the faintest of touches.
- You feel really like a poof using the iPhone, a pinch here, a swipe here, a light touchy here... You get the point. It's like a pounce device.
Also many resistive screen are becoming very sensitive and almost the same level as capacitive but I'm not even sure I want them to be overly sensitive. Look at my negative point.

all the features are gr8 (even the 5mp cam, if u wna take better pictures just buy urself a cam an not a phone. the pixon 12 took worse pictures than an 8mpx cam, so it has come to the stage where more megapixels are useless) except the resistive screen. those who hv never used a touchscreen or those of u who hv never used a capacitive or (even better) optical touchscreen phone might not notice its flaws but trust me dont buy this phone bcos it uses resistive. resistive scratches easy, it is cheap and looks cheap, its makes colors look faded on the screen especially under sunlight and its not v responsive. what is the point of a touchscreen phone if it isnt responsive?
