I am loving this phone...but i need to know where i can download more apps, i am in Nigeria and i just bought this phone.
any help on where to get more apps?

I have this phone and i like it a lot, but my newest one phone i have is Samsung Infuse. N900 gives better flash than Android coz some other websites on Android browser gives mobile view. N900 gives like a a desktop view, eventhough its only flash 9. In order for me to go to a better desktop flash just to try, i went to adult sites just to try. N900 wins a desktop view.

Since its a linux based Handset, its hard to believe that its affected by virus as no virus is designed for the maemo platform so far... :)
Still the issue persist bcoz of some bad sectors formed in the memory (interna/card)..
to solve it, Connect ur device tp PC in mass storage mode & format the device (after taking necesasry back ups)..
If that doesn't help, Just flash ur handset to latest firmware..

maze, 23 May 2011I have always been proud and happy with my N900 for the pas... moreI had the exact same problem that you are having. I live in the U.S. I contacted Nokia's tech support and they told me it could be a virus. Not sure if it was or not. I couldn't delete any pictures or anything. I couldn't take any pictures. The file was like "read only". It was still under the one year manufactures warranty. I sent it in for repair and they fixed it. Not sure what they did, but everything is working fine now. I have always been proud and happy with my N900 for the past three months but now, i am havin a problem with my N900, i tried snapping a picture of a friend but i refused to snap as usual rather i got this message on my sreen 'memory not accessible. unable to save content' and i can delete any picture from my phone. whenever i try to i get this message 'delete read-only file'. what do u advise me to do.

no it is not on the market any more because hardly anyone one bought it, i had on and it kept on crashing so i got a blackberry torch,best phone in the world

i love this mobile computer, i need to buy this one. But by this time it feels little outdated, since it was released on august 2009, also No maemo6 update... Anyone( linux geeks) tell me things that maemo/meego can do which Android cant do? Except Usb-on-the-go...

Anonymous, 14 May 2011hope that nokia n950 will be released soon, I haven't bough... moreBut N900 and Maemo5 will stand as the original, the first pocket computer that was also a cellfone. Im not so interested in N950, but N900 will stand as the by far most exiting device i ever had, its so very special and its Debian nature will forever be unique, dont expect N950 to come close to N900 in Geek-Factor.
Two things i want in N950 if i will consider getting one: 1: Keyboard mechanism like N900 (not like N97, E7, it sux), and 2: SLCD screen (pls no AMOLED or SAMOLED, the bad color reproduction of Galaxy S and N8's purple-bug is enough already)
