I don't think that the 2 built in browsers utilise only one kind of packet data connection (GPRS/EDGE). Cause I've installed Opera Mini v3.0 and it's super duper fast like u're browsing on a 3G network. Man, a heavy loaded web page takes only less than 5 seconds to be completely displayed even the images (But of course, not all websites can be dispayed correctly by this browser.) So the speed actually depends on the browser (in case of N91-5) Opera Mini, it's amazing browser.. The so-called Nokia Web Browser w/ mini map could've been fantastic if only it does not display a sort of unsupported content error message.
I've confirmed from another website that N91-5 really has EDGE support but I'm not so sure if it uses EDGE technology in sending data to the network as what was only stated there is that it supports EDGE only at downlink.

i believe ive done everything correctly and it seems to be working great. just one other problem... now i cant send texts, i need the msg. centre number.

hey GSMARENA team why dnt you upgrade your site with newer looks.I HAVE BEEN USIN this site 4 more than a year & kinda bored of its same pattern.
change it.
Da whole world is divided in2 2 parts.
one who want just beautiful(!) skreen go to n73
and one who needs better than ipod's sound quality and rich PDA+Multimedia features rush to N91 COZ it is what computer has become and it worths.

I have bought n91 two (2) weeks ago and since then a it has given me so much worries. It always hangs up and deletes files in the hard drive. i returned it to the store and they just reset it and told me that this is the common problem of this model and as of this date no software is avible to solve this problem.

to kamran: man if you want video calls(and your network suport it) use the umts/gsm, or just umts. if you dont want or your network not support it, use just gsm because using the umts or dual mode, eat more battery?

Start your browser or use USB mass storage to access hdd. Go to \private directory and look for 10202dce folder - kill or move all files from there. Reboot the phone an try....

can any one tell me wht is Umts . there is a option in My N 91 . Network Mode.. Dule Mode Or Gsm Or Umts.. i know abt gsm wht iz Umts... iz Gsm and Cdma both work at a time in N91 ?

Okay, so it means that the GPRS/EDGE thing is browser dependent..? What about sending, receiving MMS, retrieving email? What network (GPRS/EDGE) does the phone try to connect say for instance both networks are available? And, is it okay if I upgrade to the N91 8GB sw when it's already released? I just want the visualization in the music player.

i need your help!!! i have many songs stored on my hdd. i listened to songs several times today and i started to listen to them again but not a single song is there. this has happened one other time but i restarted my phone and they came back. this time ive restarted my phone several times, even taken the battery out but still nothing... HELP PLEASE!!!

Are you sure youare innstalling the updater and not PC suite. The N91 uses as simple USB cable so there is no cable adapter (other devces that have a pop port may need one but not the N90). Are you sure youar eusing the simple DKE-2 cable that came with theN91
