thanks for the reply ...well pappy another thing . can u tell me how to take care of n91 and the hard drive ..i have heard from many of my frnds that the hard drive gives lot of problems ..
also which is the best possible head phone available for n 91 !!!

That was my poor math sorry. In the end I have approx 16 Mbytes of ram so symbian takes more..its a bit of a memory pig.

if u say it is 64mb of ram ..and symbian takes 37 MB ..arnd 27 mb must be free ..but my fone shows total memeory available only 17 Mb ..out of which 4 Mb is used ..so available is only 12 MB why ??????

Hi my phone version is 2.00... and i always try to update, but the software says that i have the last one, my last upgrate was like 2 months ago in a nokia center, my pc suite is the last one and the updater program version is v1.1.40.... what can i do to have version 2.10 via pc??.

The memory is actually 64 Mbytes of RAm howeever symbian etc takes up 37 Mbytes.
As for the the batteru life. The BL6C fiys in and give better life but also here are some tips

@ PAPPY or ANY ONE WHO CAN HELP ---
1) in forum it says n91 has 30 Mb internal memory for contacts and messages ..mine only shows 17 Mb ..why is that so ????
2) is there any other good battery other than BL 5c which fits in this fone ..my battery gets down fast ..any tips for that ..i have upgraded to latest version of software !!!
3) where can i find a PC converter to convert videos into avi format to be played on smart movie player ..wats the best settings to see ctrystal clear movies on n91 ??
4) wat are the best audio settings for hearing good sound ( heavy metal songs ) in aac format ??? or wud mp3 be better !!! also wats he best possible equaliser setting for heavy metal songs and in general

well...then i guess i am in heaven now enjoying my music videos...haha..sad that u guys dont like the screen reso..u guys may have a point though that modern smartphones shud have better reso for the price u paying but i bot mine for a decent price so i'm happy..for guys that bought them for a high price, then sad case if u are not happy

Mangesh - get rid of that flaky application you installem may have a virus. In the future make sue you know the source of the applications.

Sorry to hear you probably had a dodgy sales shop in the Phillipines. The GSM version (no wireless lan) as we know is a lower cost version that was/is sold in markets where price mattters and 3G doesnt. I believe they dropped the Wireless lan to make the price difference big enough. The N91-5 is suppose sell in India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Malayasia? not the phillipines. The N91-1 is the 3G plue WLAN version that is available in Europe AND Asia. In PRC china they have the N91 which is GSM and no WLAN (due the laws that ban 3G and WLAN in handsets). I suspect someone who dols you the device in the phillipines lied to you

MP3 sucks it. MP3 is going out of fashion now.
I use aacplus (.aac) on my N91. I convert my songs to:
aacplus (v2.0)
Stereo
32 Kbps
44100Hz
& the quality is same as MP3 at 128Kbps Stereo 44100hz.
If u want ill Upload some songs on to my site if u want. just let me know. You can then check out if aacplus format is good.!

Aaron - It seems you are bitter that you did not pay attention to whay you bought. The N91-1 is the WCDMA + WLAn version that is available all over Europe AND Asia . The N91-5 is the GSM and no WILAN version that is cheaper (unless you got screwed by someone). The target markets for these from what I have been told was India, Cambodia/vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. If you bought it in the Phillipines you probably got a grey import. As for the idea the qudio quality i satisfactory - stuff magazine and countless others have the N91 ahead of all SE and Moto phones and in many cases better than an IPOD. As for the screen as it was stated long ago by MMan the N91 took the lower power screen to get the longer Music playback.
Sorry the device is not for you it is really a case of you really like it or you dont. Best of luck
Mangesh - My advice unistall that application! sounds liks its a bit dodgy and viruses do exist now for cell phones

i am very much impressed with nokia n 91 ..i am using it with BOSE original handset and IPOD original headfones ..mind blowing music experience !!!!!!!!!!

What about eAAC+ ? Do you thing that eAAC+ 64 is better than .mp3 128? eAAC+ do not kill nokia n91's speaker and headphones? I want to use eAAC+ 64 because now i user mp3 128 and i have 1000 songs and the memory is full. DO you think that is a good challange this passing from mp3 to eAAC+?

actually screen is nt dat bad.but Mr koh u must know dat most new phones have a descent 320*240 res. Screen & dat phones r even lower costs.so a heavy priced phone with such low res isnt acceptable but who joins in ds fools heaven newly may find it beautiful(!)
