hi pappy,my N91 is dead.the dard drive has packed up.can,t get it fixed on the waranty cos i got it outside europe when on holiday.so i now have a £300 dead phone i can,t get fixed.is it possable to formatt the HD useing a pc via the usb cable?been told this might help.any ideas???please help.

Mangesh I remember you said you had a smal issue that when you went to HDD untilities and tried to format the HDD it said "HDD unavailable". USB mass storage etc worked fine. I think i found the cause!
If you have a theme installed on the HDD and its your active theme then it must be "holding: somthing on the HDD and you can't format. Can you try going back to a theme on the phones memory (not HDD) and let me know.

Firmware 2.10.013 Fixes:
- Fwd/Rwnd for AAC+/eAAC+
- Left ear Louder than Right ear (Headphones)
- Unexpected Freeze Doesnt happen
- More Stable dan v2.00.052
- Brighter keypad & display
- Sound via Loudspeaker a bit clearer
NOT FIXED:
- Ringtone volume first low wen recieving call but after first call it will be loud until u use music player were ringtone volume is low althogh set to MAX!

New SW: 2.10 sw now available for N91. i downloaded it (easy). It seems a bit faster and it fixes that eaac+ fwd/rwd issue. Also an application i had that worked in 1.x and stopped working in 2.x is working again. I suspcet not all countries and operators are on the updater yet.
Sayan - 2.00sw improved the battery life so I suggest ugrading
Lisa - it sounds like you have a issue with your mic (which can screw up the earpiece). Try the sw update first an dthen if that dosnt work bring it in

I'm planing to bye N91,can anyone tell me how can I see if the phone is N91-1?pappy do u know?does n91-1 have wifi? what is diference between n91-1 and others n91 versions I'm from serbia

You use two smartphone,maybe the hang problem is a software problem.Have you tried to update your software?
Or maybe better that you use nonsmartphone like SE K800 for still picture or W810 for music?
Just opinion.

I have had this phone since March and think its crap! it's like a house brick in yr handbag, it freezes all the time and I can hear the person Im calling but they cant hear me. It cuts off when I do manage to speak 2some1 in the middle of call. when you go to put the phone by your ear it makes a crackle sound like the old phones used2 whenu get by the freezer etc. Its slow on booting up, slow on getting files, can't wait to sell it!! Rubbish worst phone Nokia have come out with. I also have the N90 thats a house brick but atleast I can call people off it, it's slow like N91 and freezes

Thanks for the response.Your user advice is gr8.But whatever u said there I have already done those.My phone is N91-5 so netweork and W_LAN aint a problem. I had a 02 xda IIS before so i know how bad those can be on battery life.And rest of the confs in my phone are as stated in your advice.My question to u is can a firm wire upgrade lenthen battery life?

well using wireless stero headset, it needs A2DP profile in bluetooth, unfortunately N91 does not have this..
but upcoing model of N91 8GB has A2DP profile.

I wanted to connect the jabra BT620s bluetooth stereo headset with my nokia N91. I can call with it, but can't listen to my mp3 through it,... dunno why. i needed A2DP or AVRCP for it, but don't know if this feature is included with the N91,... does somebody, anybody know the answer to it? thank you guys in advance....

i have problem playing my music . It starts off ok and then it stops on a song and then i have to shuffle along and restart it, it does this all the time, i thi nk i actually got up to 12 playing one after another, and even though it stops at a song, i know it works as i have heard it play another time, any suggestions please

The N91
Positives:
4 GIG Memory, Great for music, videos and general storage.
Negatives:
Not the best camera and video quality.
Theres no camera in the front of the phone to utilise video calling.
The phone "freezes".
Short battery life.
Keypad is small.
