      Hi again,

That didnt really explain it very well. This is wat i mean.....

When you are looking at a webpage normally for example this gsmarena webpage, at the top can you see the way home, news, forum, reviews, ringtones, software etc is written across the top of the screen? Well if i were to view this page on the n91 they would be written underneath each other and you have to scroll for ages to even get to where you want to go. Its pretty tedious so if anyone knows a way to change the view please post it.
      Thanks.

        Hi,
I jst got the n91 yesterday and it is an amazing phone. I have one question tho.... When i connected to the internet to view my mail the page appears in a list style and you have to scroll down to view more of the page. Is there anyway of adjusting this so it can be viewed like a normal webpage?

            i got a n91 recently
its a decent phone im well impressed with it i get alot of phones but get bored quickly with all of them and ill answer a few other questions aswell
the n91 is big and bulky but serves the purpose of a symbian phone aswell its not a full 3g phone its got no secondary cam ( japan version only apparently ) but im not bothered never use it anyways
a se k800i kicks it ass as a cam phone along with any other nokia phone but nokias do more things with being a smartphone
the n91 isnt that slow its a phone dammit you want a mp3 player thats fast get an ipod id like to see you chat and take pics with that stop moaning about it being slow it has more than just music to proccess
another good phone is a samsung i300 or i310 both are pdas but are quite small and just look like a normal phone and have a decent size hdd in them and they have a good camera too but are quite straight forward in looks but are just as good if not better than a n91 but i chose style over simplicity
nobody is forcing you to buy this phone do your homework first then decide

                Papi,

Thank you so much for helping out. I am happy to say that I have 15mb of PHONE MEMORY after the restoration guideline thing you've provided. Im very happy now I am going to visit the NOKIA Store for that firmware. It is actually availble according to the Nokia Tech Support agent I talked with. Hopefully all the problems would end here ;-)

                    To DAve

That mean they simply have no downloaded it yet from their system (My service centre guy explained it that way). Just tell them to call the head office!

Note if you bought the phone thorugh an operator (eg with Vodafone sw) then it takes longer and they may be right.

the only thing keeping me from buying the phone is that it has no secondary camera for video call, i mean what's the point of umts if there's no video call?

To people having issues with 1.00.xx versions of software. I suggest getting the upgrade to 2.00.052.

Cost : It should cost nothing
How: Go to the Nokia centre or wait until the Nokia Phone Sw update includes the N91 (with your country or operator sw) http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,1522,,00.html?orig=/softwareupdate
                          Remember:
                          a) To backup you phone memory (contacts, DRM activation keys( using PC suite)
                          b) To copy the HDD contents on your PC that you want to put back (see my August 25 list)
                          c) Restore factory settings *#7370# (code 12345) then update

RAINE - see my list of hints from August 25th and also I believe the new SW should solve this (and dont PAY for it), Igot mine for free in the UKso you should too.

Unamed - Weird songs playing etc. SOunds like a software problem (ie your HDD hadware is ok but its database has been confused by software). I suggest formatting the HDD and also getting the sw upgrade.

Bader - I am still confused. You were backing up a friends N91 with your PC suite and then you ended up with his contacts instead of yours. I have to admit that I backup my contacts by saving them on my N91 HDD (when it saves then from contacts it places them in the "other" folder). Then I drag an drop them on my PC. I only use PC suite for the drm stuff.

MP4- Again you need to see what formats work for S60 3rd edition etc, The N91 etc may have an newer codec that doesnt play other stuff (S60 2.1, 2.8 etc)

                          pappy

Can somebody help me please? here is my letter to nokia and I want your help as well...

                              Good day!

I heard about this firmware upgarde. We have the V1.00.028.14.29-03-06. I have a Nokia N91. My Phone wont let my newly uploaded themes to work and I always get that Phone Memory full notice even if I am using the HD for the messages, images, music, videos, them downloads etc. This is vey funny since the phone has a 4G HD. I have quick formatted in for 5 times now since I bought it and Quick formatted it for like 3 times now. Since it freezes, the songs in the My Music folder disappears. What is the effect of the quick and full format on the hard drive? I don't know what seems to be the problem of this phone. It is also freezing on me everytime I send SMS.Why do you think these are happening? This phone is properly taken cared of so it shouldn't have a reason for all of these things to happen. What do I need to do in order for these problems to get resolved? What good does upgrading the firmware do? How much does it cost?I am from the Philippines. Is my phone covered with the warranty even I did not buy it in a Nokia Store? I bought it in a cellphone shop in the mall. It is 2 months and a few days old. If it is still in warranty what does the warranty covers? Are N91s really problematic phones? as what I've read on line. Hope not. This piece costed my hard earned money so I dont deserve these problems.

I hope that you could be able to help me, Please do.

Thank you very much and Good day!

after having this phone for 2 months i've had a lot of fun and trouble with it at the same time. my phone came with the first firmware v1.000.028 so i think this is causing some problems. i havent had any hanging or freezing that u guys mentioned. the only problem i had with this phone is that sometimes some of the music or video files on the phone gets randomly corrupted. when i open a song it wouldnt open and i had to retransfer the song to the phone again. same with some movies i put on the room. it would work when i put it on the phone but then later it would say unable to open video clip when i try to play it again. probably a hard drive problem. the weirdest problem i had was while playing a song, it would start playing another song, but it didnt switch tracks, it was still the same file. i thought i was just a glitch but when i replayed the same file it still happened. these problems are pretty annoying because sometimes i want to show someone a video clip or let them hear a song and the phone isnt able to play the file anymore. this happens at random and u dont know to what file. has anyone had these problems?

a W810 with 4 gig crd? have u used one of those? let me tell u some simple facts-
if u use a 4 gig card with a w810 it simply hangs most of the time it will not recognise it i have seen quite a few times it fails to recognise a 2 gb one shows only 470 mb odd memory I am pretty conversant with memory cards and i have tried by formatiing -reformatting etc
And please for heaven's sake dont even try to compare the sound quality of N91 with that of w810 or any walkman series phone(though they are quite good by themselves)
N91 beats an iPod hands down
                                  and take this simple equation
                                  cost of
                                  a phone like w810+4 gig card+wifi +3g +symbia>cost of N91
do a market survey, u will know

To view video on the n91 u need to convert the video file to a 3gp file
xilisoft's 3gp video converter seems to work pretty well.

Terribly disappointing performance with all the marketing hype. Re-sale prices here in the Philippines dropped 50% in 3 months and there are still no takers. Heard the N90+ series are the ones that have problems. I hope Nokia seriously considers doing a product recall if they have any consumer accountability conscience at all. Have written their site to complain... silence...

                                        Hey hey hey!!!!!
I need to build a new house.... I was considering using bricks but why waste valuable resources... When I could just use a couple of thousand of Nokia N91's and do the same thing. Sure it would cost a lot more money but at least it would solve Nokias problem with what to do with these crap phones.
These phones do not sell.... Yeah sure they have a 4gig hard drive for MP3 but I reckon if you had a SE W810 and a 4 gig card it would cost so much less and you would save your pocket from ripping open with this chunky brick in it.
Plus the Hard drive is soooo slow. It would be quicker to run to a store and buy a cd then convert it to mp3 and chuck it on your ipod than it would be to play it with this godforsaken phone.
And who thought of the idea of having tiny buttons just to make it that little bit harder to use.
Bad design, Slow, Ugly.... What were you thinking.....
