To nokiamaniax. Its sounds like you have loaded something on the hdd that is causing issues. Id reformat. My n91 had 18 mb of phone memory before i loaded some programs there so you must have installed stuff as well. As for movies i have three 150 mb mp4 full length movies and i have no issues. Pappy

n91 is disaster! Mine was always getting random disk error message. After that, n91 disk was not detected. U have to turn off, remove the batt, then turn on again!
the display is also crappy! A Joke for the fone with high caliber price! The internal phone memory (not hdd) also sucks, only a few megas left (arround 2 mb)
The harddisk access is very lame! Its take forever to load >70mb movie files

          To Bader

What DRM keys are you looking for. If you are talkingabout the 12 or so music tracks and the Live8! vidoes that cam wth the phone. These were the ones I was talking about that had to be backed up before the sw re-flashing. If it was a ringtone etc that you bought and you did not back it up (or backed it up when you had the other N91( then you need to talk to the service provider who issued the content.

            To Poloir

It seems you are another SE Fan looking to have a go at the Nokia N91 Music device. I have tried just about all the Musicphones from Samsung and SE and they simply do not come close in Music quality and Music Player navigation.

            best of luck with SE

just borrowed n91 from my cousin...

this is a really disappointing phone... so expensive and yet this is what it has to offer...

              1. difficult keypads for sms, texting, etc
              2. very confusing navigation compared to earlier symbian phone
              3. bad mp3 play mode (my w810 walkman interface is miles better than this one)
              4. poor, really poor camera, and practically useless at night
              5. pretty lame display, n80 is better... and comparing to w810, common the display on w810 is better
              6. slow processing
              7. hdd not reliable
              8. its a music phone, but why is the loud speaker so pathetic!?!
              9. when you slide down the music key, a parellel gold strip could be seen at the back... i think it's part of the circuitry i think, and it's really vulnerable to moisture, scratches, dust, once exposed... nokia forgot to cover one that up

sorry I never bothered to try the earphone though...

there's only one good thing about this phone, the wifi...

tsk tsk... t'was his bday gift, but never liked it and so am I... i told to just trade it in with a k800 and a walkman phone, and we went in to trade the phone on that same day...

common, n80 or n93 is way way way better than this n91...

and of course it could never beat the affordability of the walkman phones, that's why walkman phones are the MOST popular music phones in the market...

              1. Sony ericsson walkman phones, #1 music phones
              2. Sony ericsson cybershot series, #1 still phones

              But don't fret

              1. Nokia n93, #1 in video recording device / mobile phone
              2. Nokia Ngage, #1 in mobile gaming

But of course there's motorola being the slimmest and samsung being the most boring of all brands...

but going back to n91... it's just not worth it...

                      Here you go,

                      http://nokia.dogtoe.com/

Step by step guide to flashing the SW. I'm just unsure, because why a newer one 1.10.03 is smaller in size compared to the older one 1.10.00?

                      What are activation keys?
& I wonder if this will do a wipe on my HDD?

                          Pappy,

I was looking over the net, learning to flash my SW by myself, however, i stumbled upon 5 versions:

                          RM-43_APAC_10.00.exe 82M
                          RM-43_APAC_10.03.exe 19M
                          RM-43_EMEA_10.00.exe 96M
                          RM-43_EMEA_10.01.exe 23M
                          RM-43_EMEA_10.02.exe 22M

I'm from Asia Pacific, but which firmware do i choose? Thank you.

                            Tapas Roy

You took one set of reviews done by the GSM arena people on early devices running 1.00 SW (unfortunately I believe the person who bout their device in May has the same SW). Some people had problems with the 1.00sw dependning the use cases.

I will admit that the size and design is a love it or hate it...not too many "in betweens" > I happen to love it.

Here is a more recent article to add some balance http://www.mobileburn.com/revi...ge=1&Id=2617

Because I read many problems with N91; I wait now for SE W950i, I hope this phone is better however without camera.
But it's important for me is office applications, music, connectivity and also battery life.
