To aman. The n91 beats the se phones again and again in sound quality in every review and study (the latest i say was stuff magazine). To me a music phone should do music right first and the fact se has no 3.5 jack is bollocks as you would say. And no offense to the gsm arena people-they have a great discussion forum format but they are not seen as industry leaders in reviews..yet at least. By the way i just did this post using my n91 at a coffee shop using wlan.. Lets see se do that.. I thinks ill stream some music over the internet using wlan now . Cheers

R u serious? That is the biggest joke! How can u even start to compare Nokia's dismal so-called 'music phone' entrant to any Sony Ericsson 3G Walkman phone?
SE are the market leaders in the multimedia mobile phone market. And 8/10 of their Walkman phones are 3G with 2 CAMERAS.
All this talk of turning the N91 to have a video call is pure bollocks! How can u have a video call when u can't even see the person on ur screen.
And i'm sure everybody reading this post has also read the review on this site for the N91..as u can read there were'nt much nice things to say about the N91, except for the built in memory.
However, it just leaves one question..Sony is about to release their 8GB and 4GB memory stick pro duo's to be used on their Walkman phones...whats going to happen with the 4GB N91?
So, those of you still deciding to buy a true music mobile, have a look at Sony Ericsson's Walkman phones W900i and W850..for the W850..all i can say to u people is "brace urself". Let's not get started with the new Cyber-Shot range of cellphones like K800 soon to be launched! :-)

i m indian batsman!!u ppl mus b knowing me.i used n91.its good but not so much.memory is not good.n besides card is not included.now if some1 wants to extend the memory,then what shud he do!!??simply stupid mobile!!i think 3310 is much better than this!!

For the last few questions. . I suggest backing things up and getting the latest sw. 1.10. It runs amazing. As for 1.11 please see my long hints post that explains it . Cheers

I have bought Nokia N 91 GSM Version 1.10.030 just last week , i was very happy for few days but after that i am facing quite few serious porblems in this phone, it got hanged very often and i even lost my messages in my inbox when it got hanged then i have to take out the battrey as there is no other way, pls help me in this

hy guys. have a question 4 ya. i got some themes from symbian9 but it looks they don`t work for my phone. i apply it, works fine but when get back to the standby`mode it changes back to its default. any1 got any info? 10x.

I have already update firmware N91 RM-43 1.10.30 succesed but i find new RM-43 1.11.003 ,so I confuse with this.
What's different two firmware ??

hi, i bought N91 2months back. i'm facing the problem with it's 4GB harddrive. while playing songs, it got hang and then when i switch off my phone, the harddisk error shows up. that ways it's quite slow.

To herbert. Check to make sure your battery cover is on ok and like i said in my long list check the magnet is okay. If that doesnt work then try the phone reset (*#7370 pwd 12345). If that fails then attach to the pc and scan disk your hdd via the pc. He that fails then via the pc then format the hdd (and redo the phone reset).

N91 HDD: Here is one of the links that talked about how they test the N91 (300 drops). Im not worried about dropping it or it being sensitive :).

Actually im very satisfied with this phone,because the memory were so big.......but it use microdrive....so it maybe so sensitive......and one more the design is so ugly.

3G: Is third generation wireless. It has not specifically to do with Video Telephony but rather faster data speeds. The n91 you can have a Video call but the camera points away. You can be seen if you flip the phone around like the 6630.The majority of video call services from operators are Video servers that stream vidoe to you during the call (one camera is fine). N91 could not have everything its complicated enough :) At least it has a camera unlike the SE music phones.
DRM Activation keys: No its not part of the 1.00 or 1.10 software but is suspect these keys are loaded in the factory. I woldnt worry about them the live8! DVD is now diret cheap and you can rip the Vidoes to run without DRM on you phone if you really want them.
FM transmitter. I have a car stereo with audio inputs like a DVD player has (dont know the technical name) so I just bought a 3.5mm jack -to- hifi input cable. There are a few 3.5mm jack FM transmitters on the market. In fact maybe even the IPOD one works. I have placed my IPOD headsets in the N91 to try them out, they work however the digital interface does not. Man don't believe on that as it's fake! One of my friend has N80 and for him also it's showing the same Detials!
And as everybody know, N91 and N80 both have different processors.
N91=314Mhz
N80=220Mhz

thanks for the info.,
but actually i did not understand what is the turn of 3G in the mobile since the a second camera is not present, but i noticed the 3G sighn under the network status bar when i am in an umder ground garage ie. their is no network coverage so what does it indicate
and when u have a contact name on screen and u click on the option to call a video call appears so how is that i can see the other person but he cant c me????
and the activation keys are system files those are supposed to be accordinglly given inside the sw its a need i believe so what do u say
and i would like 2 ask u about an accessory that u may help me find it because i searched on nokia's website and i did not find anything related, i saw this as an accesory of an I POD its mainly used in the car where u listen 2 music on i pod using a radio channel
its a small device that is connected to the i pod from one side and 2 the cigarette lighter from the other side and in between there is a small thing that shows the station # that the user should change on his radio
its a magnificent invention it replaces cd's so i really need it and i wont u 2 take a note that the side linked 2 the i pod is not connected through the 3.5 mm jack its connected from the bottom using a special i pod cable but if we could find the same at nokia or any other company's that produce accesories or since there is a 3.5 mm jack on the N91 we could find the same accesory but the other side should be the 3.5.... and if not found may be the same i pod cable could be used but using a some kimd of cable added to complete the circut
