Some salient quotes from the NY Times article yesterday, "An IPod Cellphone Said to Be Imminent":
"Cellphone users already spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year to download ring tones based on popular music."
"...it would be a part of a line of music-oriented phones that the company {Motorola]calls Rokr."
"the new phone, to be made by Motorola, would be marketed by Cingular Wireless"
"Apple, Motorola and Cingular declined to confirm or deny the report. But Apple did announce on Monday that it would hold a major news event on Sept. 7 in San Francisco that it indicated was music-related. Apple is routinely tight-lipped about pending product announcements, preferring to make a splash on the day of the event."
Nokia better hurry up. My tax refund check is burning a hole in my pocket!

I think this is an oversell model.. like the 7MP phone for (was it samsung?).. price is sure to be really high and will not lead to many buyers.. another good-to-look but overpriced white elephant model from nokia... sigh!!! Wat is happening to nokia?? either behind on tech design or try-to-hard... Sony Ericsson seems to be my preferred brand nowadays.. though Samsung is up and coming..

No mention of the M91 in this article. Whetehr it's Nokia or Apple/Motorola I hope somebody rolls one out soon. I am tired of being without portable tunes since my last MP3 player fell unsupported.
