N81 has the same audio quality as N91. Very much the same. N81 is even better because of volume restriction. N91's sound is so painful to the ears after a long time. It can damage your hearing. It happens to me. N81 is the best music phone.

sorry i forgot to mention in my last post that samsung i450 beats with 3d surround sound(?),moto rokr series is nowhere to n91.

stop that now.... n91 have great bass with nice treable,well balanced loud sound technology.thats why it's produce high quality sonic experience which is most importent factor in any music phone.I think n81 or any n series phone,non n series (express music)phones,iphone(3g),w series(n91's bass is more rich than mega bass)(really suck) from sony ericsson are specially fail here.they cant compete to n91's sound quality.N91 is first and last music phone which have rocking sound quality.

I have this phone and all I can say is its loudness impairs your hearing after a long time. Keypad is the worst ever I've ever tried. Joystick is horrible to use. Menu key so inconveniently placed at the upper right side. You can't multitask at least 3 heavy applications. Screen is poor and dull. Loudspeaker is not even loud at all. User interface is boring.Battery is the worst thing about this phone. This phone is a disaster. It's a total opposite of N81! N81 is the best music phone. N81's APAC firmware has no EU volume restriction and it sounds better than N81. But I prefer the EMEA firmware with volume restriction. N91 impaired my right ear. So for music addicts out there, better get a phone that has volume restriction. After 2 years of using N91 I give this phone 4/10 rating. I give N81 8/10.

My problem with this phone is its battery gets bigger in size after sometime. It seems swollen and it doesn't fit in the phone anymore. I'm in my second battery now.

Samsung i8510 INNOV8 has the best sound quality among all phones right now. N91 is dethroned already. Go read the reviews.

Those people are wrong who says iphone 3g is sounding better than great n91.I completely disagree with them,cauz i heard both phones with same settings,same song with same headset and finelly i can safely say that iphone 3g is nowhere in front of n91.
N91 is a benchmark for music phones.
it is a masterpiece by nokia.

ive heard the n91 uses the toshiba dac 33and harman kardon amp is this true,and will the n85 use the same?

to find the n91 rmma results go to mobile review forums then go to the general section,then go to report about the music phones that sound best in the headphones,click on pg 9 you will find the link to the results from eldar,also if you want to compare the iphone 3g results to n91 go to gsm arena click on iphone 3g review,and u will finnally understand that the 3g destroyes the n91 in test results
