My friend has this phone and gees man...it always hang! She has the 4gig one. When she sends a message it takes heaps of seconds! And most of the time it freezes! tsktsk. But it has a nice memory hard drive but it always have freakin problems.

hey dude, why dont u downld mp3 files at 32 r 64kbps it taks only 800 -1.5mb. n 4 dowld it hardly takes 4 -8mins for me. i even burn dis files into cd by conecting my mobile 2 cd/dvd burner by a conecting device. i think ur network is to slow.

I read your earlier post,As per I known I think this problem is related to HDD.You said you reinstall some application on HDD ,but it says Access is Denied,just try to remove those application who gives trouble via file manager or remove them completely from Applicaion Manager.I think that files might be corrupted,if its not work back up your all data except this application ,and format HDD by full format only,dont preffer quick format.I hope after that your phone will work fine.

Here in the philippines, few people only have both PC & internet connection. I'm not one of them. I'm on a prepaid subscription with Globe Telecom & it's GPRS is so slow. 1 mp3 file gets downloaded for about 30 minutes (4MB at 5kbps download speed). Whats ur case?

It's impossible to download 1600 songs in 3 months time with each file at 4MB+ in size and download speed of 5kbps maximutn plus the time spent in searching the songs individually. Well, not unless you don't sleep & all u do is download all day for roughly 75 dayss in ur case. Peace! (^_^)

WAKE UP! i think ur like frog in a well. even i dont hav pc but i hav downlded more then 1600 mp3 just in 2&1/2 mons . i jus browse only 2 hours a day.

I'm right now experiencing very typical behaviour with my n91, hence writing this mail:
Yesterday while updating Quickoffice, installation process interrupted in between and gave message- "file corrupted". Usually I load applications on hard disk (E:drive). Then I checked other installed applications in E: drive and I noticed none of them are working. Few applications installed in C: drive were working OK. My Music folder, Video clips etc. folders on E:drive were not visible.
I did following:
1.Installed Y- Browser in C:. Checked that all folders were existing then checked attributes and noted that System/ and Hidden are showing Yes. Noted that for each folder .exe file is also created showing file name as (foldername).exe. I changed attributes to "NO" and deleted all (foldername).exe files. Noted that now all folders are visible in E:drive and I can again play music afer refreshing.
2. Started nokia PC suite, did back up. Since all installed applications could not be removed (showing message "file corrupted"), I connected mobile using "mass storage" and started deleting all folders or their contents where I suspected residues of installed application might exist (contents of "private" folder were deleted).Did Scandisk. Defragmentation was not required.
3. started attemting to install applications. Now I'm getting message "File already exist- Should it be overwrited" I said Yes, then it attempted to load but message come - "Failed to install- Access denied"
Today While starting Y browser from C: drive, I noted that it hanged. Rebooting was not possible so battery removed and restarted. I noted that againg all folers of E:drive were invisible and attribute of all folders was showing Yes for System and Hidden. Also, again(foldername).exe files were generated.
Now : Shall I conclude that phone is virus infected? Is there any alternative except "hard reset"? Why during installation, "Access denied" is coming? Which are folders where still resdues of earlier installed applications are lying? and If I remove them will it be OK?
Sorry for the detailed mail. But intention was to explain clearly.
Now waiting for the interpretation from experts,

Best music edition nokia phone...following it from the times when N91 was in its 4gb version...recently in Kolkata after the price of the 4gb version dropped, searched a lot but no shop had a piece...now after 3 months similar for n91 8gb..price dropped and model out of market...I work in Hutch and thus managed to get a set from my contacts @ Rs. 11,500. Good bargain...Very good alternative to an IPOD since those who use a phone as a tool and not as a show off gadget...can't use two gadgets for music and communication..and n91 8 gb has sufficient space...Sound quality is awesome with headphones...very good depth...

I'm proud to say that I'm the only N91 user in the world that has no PC. Yes, I don't have PC. Yet I managed to search & download 517 MP3/WMA already in 8 months time using my phone only with free GPRS data connection. My only wish is that my HDD wouldn't get corrupted & I hope I'll have money to buy a PC & a new N95. I hope so. :)

Nokia stopped the production of n91 4gb,now they concentrate on latest n91 8gb via a mass production.I also from Maharashtra ,I have n91 8gb before buying this phone i had n91 4gb,I think n91me is more better and stable than n91 4gb.display resolution is not so good for wifi,but its ok.If you want a real music phone with better audio quality then go for it.

Hi
I heard that the N91 (4GB) has stopped and the N91 8GB is what is still being made in the factory. Its similar i suspect to what Apple is doing with their 4GB iphone (stopping it soon)... 4 GB makes way for 8GB as the standard size now

The best phone I've ever had. Except the screen and the battery. I love it. Even though I'm eyeing on new phones like N95, N95 8GB, N81, N76, i won't throw this beauty away nor sell it. It's so precious to me, has sentimental value already. Love the sound, love the music. The best I've ever had. Thanks Nokia for making this phone. :)

Yaa nokia 9500 is discontined in India,are you from India?.you will get 9500 without warrenty,but here is a bit risk to get a such expensive phone without warrenty,suppose if any problem occure,you'll not get a free servicing.so think about that.If you afford why dont you go for latest Nokia E90,its a better option ,better large screen,well designed,3.2 mp camera with 30 fps video recording thats really great,new interface,wifi,3g.hscsd,edge.Its a masterpiece by nokia.so think before buying new one?
