as you've bought the phone second hand, you can reset it to factory settings by pressing *#7370#. it will give you a fresh start as well as viruses will be romoved too. (**WARNING** you will loose all the applications your friend might've installed.)

you can also format the HD after the that, if you wish, same **warning** goes here too.

att:pappy....i previously asked you if you could add your music in your library to a contact, and you said no...but you can!!!!!!i discovered it this weekend and i was so thrilled, that i just have to share it....
            ok, the steps.
go to tools, then click on file manager, then go to your hard drive side(memory card),
then go to attachments, open attachments, the mejority of your songs, will be there. mark all,and click copy to folder.if you clicked that, you choose where you want to save, which will obviously be your hard drive, after you clicked on hard drive, you choose sound clips, and then digital.it will copy all you marked, to the digital sounds.then go to a contact, and add the ringtone you want, to a specific name.and whola!!!

N91 still has an edge over the W960 for I heard that it lacks a dedicated audio chip. With all its awesome specs what a waste if it does not have one.
Thanks music lovr, Im now feeling comfort...

I got my N91 8 GB yesterday, dad bought me-it's ----- kewl and awsome man! I love it.
Nowadays, there are many phones with HSDPA,2.6",3+ MPix camera bla bla bla etc, but I got the N91 8 GB soully for music, I aint that audiophile but I am fond of good quality of music
and when it comes about sound quality N91 hands down wins.
BTW: those who are bored with N91's old features, dont worry-nokia's new music phone will about to be announced.
                        Cheers!

yahoo! there's a new high-end music phone in town! how will the nokia n91 8gb fair with the new sony ericsson w960. same hard drive capacity-8gb, but w960 has so much better and more powerful features-large 2.6" hi-resolution display, 3.2megapixel autofocusing camera, hsdpa, walkman v3.0, stereo bluetooth, wifi, touchscreen, FM radio, walkman-exclusive features-trackid,senseme amongst others.
ive grown so bored with n91 & its camera, its bulkiness, its stupid very basic user interface, even if it (according 2 most of u) has best audio quality.
now, w960 is the new music phone to beat!
my only suggestion to nokia just before my joystick fall off is that they STOP MAKING JOYSTICK PHONES!

I think now its proved that N91 is a only one music phone which produced sweetest, clearest and loudest sound .i used moto rokr e2 as well as e6 but trust me both phones are far behind than N91 .so motorola cant compite to N91.se most famous WALKMAN brand is totally useless. se launch their w950 music phone to compite N91,but unfortunately w950 is a worst music phone indeed. so if u r a real hardcore music lover dont go for i-pod if capacity is not a matter for u,dont go for any music phone except N91. i really appriciate nokia to made this great music phone.N91 ALWAYS RULZ.king of all music phone.

                              Hi Alex

I am fairly sure its not a CPU or Sw problem. There is a small Printed Circuit board that has the keymat on it. Maybel something has gone off there (is solder problem). I cant imagine the is that much. Also are you sure your warranty ran out, i thought in some areas it was a 1 year warranty then some limited extended warranty. If someone can verify this?

                              Best of Luck

To shyfx - i went with the phone to 2 services gsms and they couldn't fix the problem , so it only remains going to an autorised nokia service center , but i am really afraid that it may cost me a lot , since my warranty has ran out 2 months ago :( .

I have the version 2.20 so this may not be the problem, the guys from the service they even put again the software on it , but without any results it seems :(. Someone else told me it may be a bug in the software or ... if by any chance even something worser - something wrong with the CPU :(

Howere it's crystal clear that there is nothing wrong with the keys itself as they seem to be intact ... it's something more advanced unfortunately for me .

That's why if anyone can see this message and can help me with an advice please do so. ( you can even write me an email at alexandru.cristescu at yahoo dot com )

                                  Thanks ,

                                  Alex

                                      To Alex

I bet there is some dust or plastic blocking your keys. The Nokia service people cam pop off the keymat and clean it up. get the latest sw while you are there if you dont have it.

I have the following music phones and devices with me.
                                        Motorola ROKR E2
                                        Sony Ericsson W700
                                        Nokia N91 8gb
                                        Ipod shuffle 1gb
                                        Ipod video (60gb)
Also I have the radio remote for ipod

I would like to rate these devices in terms of pure sound quality. I have been using different good quality headphones, namely shure Ec3 and ultimate ears super fi 5 eb.

The ratings as under for radio playback in terms of sound quality and radio station stability.
                                        1. Nokia N91
                                        2. Motorola rokr e2
                                        3. Sony ericsson w700
                                        4. ipod video 60gb with radio remote.

Mp3 playback in terms of ease of use and song selection
                                        1. ipod video
                                        2. motorola rokr e2
                                        3. nokia n91
                                        4. Sony ericsson w700
                                        5. ipod shuffle

Mp3 playback in terms of sound quality.
                                        1. nokia n91
                                        2. ipod shuffle
                                        3. sony ericsson w700, Motorola rokr e2,Ipod video.

When I use the ipod video with the radio remote, than the sound quality is on par with the ipod shuffle as then the amplifier of the ipod is not used.

The major impressions on quality of the sound, that I have after using all these devices is, that definitely the Nokia n91 has by far the best sound. The sound has a very sweet and liquid feel with very good dynamic output. One can easily listen to it for hours without any ear fatigue. In comparison the ipod shuffle has a much more airy treble and the sound seems a bit more crisp but it is not as sweet and liquid as the n91. Though both are very good music devices.

The other two phone and the ipod video are also very good music devices but once you listen to the N91 or the ipod shuffle it is difficult to go back and listen to the other devices.

It anybody in mumbai is interested in a head to head comparision of these devices email me
