bought this phone years ago... I use SE k750i and k800i (kept this phone), and my bf uses the Nokia 5800 MX... plan to repair my phone and re-use it...

simple reason... this is a brilliant phone... memory's not bad, the gps system is quite accurate though it's too sensitive to cloudy sky, and the stereo speakers are really good (just don't use 100%)...

      love this phone!

After you've been on wi fi and you are finished, shut it off but its not totally off. Press wi fi scanning again and it will say continue web browsing or something like that and you will see reception bars again and scroll down to disconnect wlan, choose that and refreshing comes up, then choose wi fi scanning off, then you are totally off. This was my experience at work a few times where i have wi fi, i didn't disconnect totally and my battery died completely like 2 hours later.

Also upgrade to ver 20 or 21 or 31. This will also improve your battery!

If you are listening to music and you shut it off then choose back buttons to the main menu as opposed to the hang up red key.

I've had this phone now for almost 17 months. Only ever had to re-boot it twice because of freeze ups. Not bad at all. Camera is great, good movie capture and able to edit them too. Keypad is ok, but battery life sucks. I've dropped it countless times and stil no problem hence : robust. The secondary camera is better than my samsung's 8800 pixon one, but not the primary camera. So easy to use, my mum now uses it! Nokia menus best. Overall a very good phone to own.

                  ricardo-mexico,

are the number of sales accurate? your posted comment should be in the apple forum because it is irritating when iphone users boast about the sales of the iphone.

I've had this phone for 8 months now and im pleased with it. It does sometimes freeze and can be slow at opening things at times but it's not that bad. The camera isnt fantastic (Wouldn't say its 5MP quality). The thing i love is you can put your movies and stuff on this phone. The Wi-Fi is great, and it's very fast! Anyone wondereing if they should get this phone i'd say buy it, but there is much better phones on the market now. Overall id give it a 7/10. :)

I think the difference between a genuine Nokia (Finland) and that from China, is found in the functionality... Virtually all of the China Nokia handsets I've come across do not have Internet capability and can only access wap sites. They are very rugged and cheaper than the original stuff, but cannot enjoy the facilities that come with using the original.
