You have to wait for it, or do as some do, which is to change the product code using NSS then do a firmware update. I believe this voids the warranty though.

hye...i used my n95 for 3 months...
but it always restart/reboot automaticcally...why r??
already try to upgrade to latest firmware...but,when i try to upgrade the vers(version 3.0),nokia mention me mine is da latest(vers 2.1)...anybody can help me???

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2008how is the sound quality of this phone? compare to N73, N78... morenever had any of those phones, last n-series i got was the n70 ME. N95 sound quality is ok. It's loud, even if you use the built-in speaker. But don't expect great sound from those, way too much treble. Stick in your favorite earphones or a decent pair of speakers (i use an altec lansing pc powered speakers), and it just sounds terrific. again, that would depend on the media you play, but the same 192-sampled mp3 on an ipod and the n95, no notieceable difference.
the n70me, you can't pump up the volume like you can on the n95. on my daily commute i can still hear the people talking on the n70. on the n95? drowns them out. and that's using the nokia earphones. would be better i think if you use an in-ear type of earphones.

daniel, 27 Oct 2008Please you never put your phone in a freezer i have worked ... moreYeah, moist forms and stuff. I know the risk, have had cell phones for the longest time (started off without sim cards, had the first sim card phone around 96, forgot the model but it was a nokia, great phone.)
So, i know my way around phones. And to tell you the truth, i was ready to chuck the n95 away. it was useless for me. until i came across Service Bulletin No. SB-143/04.07.08 (check it out, i'm sure you can, working for nokia and all) which shows an ovewrheating IC.
stick it in the fridge, to cool it down, take it out, works wonders. Or, have a tech stick the caps in there and have a great phone again.

n95 is a greatest device,all things are good except build quality,facing problem with front keypad,they are not working now.why nokia compramise about build quality?

I have a year old n95. About a few months back it started hanging quite often, for no apparent reason. I can't connect it to the pc suite for long, it will restart. take a few pics, it will restart. take a video, fat chance. it was a useless phone for me. There are a lot of users with the same experience if you search around the net.
What is weird is that the best fix i found so far was to stick it into the freezer for a minute or so. Then the phone works great again, for about an hour or so. So this to me indicates something is overheating inside, something like a thermal shutdown.
Then I came across a nokia service bulletin (marked confidential) stating the very same symptoms, and how to fix it. apparently one has to stick two capacitors in the board to prevent an IC from overheating.
Did it work? well, after having a technician do the fix for me (cost me 100 pesos, around 2USD), it hasn't hanged on me since (3 days). Been taking videos like crazy, pictures, listening to music, GPS, bluetooth, internet, texting, calling. Everything what the N95 was advertised to be.
It's a brand new phone for me again. I love it. way 2 thumbs up!
