No information in the specs to indicate a better GPS chip in some nokias than in others. My n95 will take me to an exact location. I read on the net people were saying when it was cloudy they were having trouble getting a lock with n78. So how is it a better GPS chip in n78?

Allan, 28 Sep 2008I noticed you said "If you're serious in using it for GPS n... moren78 has the same gps chip of 6110 navigator, not of n95! performance-wise, n78 gps receiver is a lot better and gives more precise positioning than that of n95! n95 has the poorest gps chip among all nokia phones!

I guess you must think n78 has a good GPS receiver plus a good battery, otherwise why recommend it if someone is serious about navigation. BTW the n95 GPS receiver is the same as the n78 GPS receiver!!! Don't say nonsense again that the n95 has a poor GPS receiver!

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2008not everyone has a car! and not everyone who are using gps ... moreThe GPS receiver is fine on this phone,I've used it many times. I've also used the gps without a charger. It can be used for 30 minutes without it affecting the battery much, maybe a bar. Ver.21 also improves the battery performance! How long are you going to walk for 3 hours!

Allan, 28 Sep 2008When you use GPS , it's used mostly in the car and you plug... morenot everyone has a car! and not everyone who are using gps are using it in the car. and this phone has a very poor gps receiver matched up by a poor battery!

hmm where else can you get a phone that does
great gaming in full 3d and accelerometer options
xbox 360 level of online gaming(ngage)
great camera and video recorder that doesnt lag even on poor lighting conditions (example indoors or night time, unlike most of samsungs and some of S.E's phones?)ei Im not dissing samsung nor S.E. just stating...peace ^_^
a smartphone where you can customize literally everything and install applications that enhance its capabilities and add on its features
I mean it literally does everything and more....
only n95 and its likeness are capable of doing that....(for now at least)
and if it matters at all
n95 is an EISA awardee last year....

it is certain
n95=fastest smartphone along with n82 and newer batch of nokia smartphones too
software isnt slow
actually the only thing that would make you think it is slow is that if you bought the chinese fake one...
battery life is decent for a smartphone if you are using 20 and above
even better if you've updated your phone to version 30=very acceptable battery performance
and from what Ive seen
n95 is even faster than say c902 or k850....

I'm interestedin its every day performance/battery life.

Hey guys! I`m planning to buy an n95, but some of my friends say that it's a bad investment.They say that the battery life sucks, that the software is slow...and so on.
I'm planning to not use the gps cause i have a dedicated gps.Would the battery life still last a day?
Please, a person who had an every day experience with this phone, respond:what are the general issues?How is its every day performance? Battery life esspecially.

Jac, 27 Sep 2008I'm planning to buy N95 phone, I'm still looking for any pr... moreDefinitly worth it, I got this phone aobut a week, and found out there are like a million function to this phone, and less costly than a Iphone, good value for a top notch iphone, plus u see everyone has an iphone almost, its nice to show off an equally good phone in different style, plus, I won mine on ebay in perfectly new authentic version for JUST $265!!!! superb price to get it, I dont think u can find one better than that, US version too

dear tinnu,
what the anonymous poster said about n95 being having sucky quality in music is an exaggeration
in fact it is quite decent...good enough to replace an ipod if you are not critical on some elements...
honestly, 5610 is a better music player as it is...well an xpressmusic phone
but n95 is a good music player as well^_^
and though I dont mean to include that n95 as a smartphone is an advantage
n95 being a smartphone can install applications that are better than its current configured music player
which...can help lessen the gap of the 2 phones in terms of sound quality
and n95 has dual stereo speakers if that matters...^_^
