Meaning, Nokia will no longer produce any N95 unit, be it N95 or N95 8Gb. It's not phased out. It is still phasing out. Just like N81 8Gb. N81 8Gb was released in November 2007 and after just 10 months it's already discontinued. However, the microSD edition of N81 is still on production. If you read the interview of Nseries vice president in some other site, it's in WOMWORLD NOKIA, both N96 and N85 are replacing N95 8Gb and N95 in the market and thus the only way to do so is to discontinue their production for good. N95 8Gb has the same fate of N93i and N91 8Gb. They were released as improvement over their original version. They were phased out in just less than a year since they were released. Their price never got lower than USD450 before they got phased out.

mentioned but still no concrete evidence ;D
anyhow saying that it is phasing out is like saying obsolete
I think it would have a softer impact if you would just say "going out of production"

ho... moreN95 series have already been discontinued. It's out of production already to give way to N96 and N85.
It's mentioned in some articles dedicated to N85 and N96 in smape.com and mobile-review.com.

how can anyone say taht n95 is already pahsing out? SPECIALLy after selling 16 million units?
If I am not mistaken....n95 is the most updated by nokia in terms of firmware revisions
I dont think there is any other phone present that has received this many firmware updates
and not only that...in each and every firmware there is something new that is quite useful and significant
not to mention the menus in each upgrade is totally different giving it a new phone feel heheh ^_^

i just learnt it. n95 has the most number of variants among nseries phones and all nokia phones, a total of 6 variants:
1)n95-1 - standard n95 w/ european/asian 3g;
2)n95-2 - n95 8gb w/ european/asian 3g;
3)n95-3 - standard n95 w/ us 3g;
4)n95-4 - n95 8gb with us 3g;
5)n95-5 - standard n95 w/o 3g & wifi;
6)n95-6 - n95 8gb w/o 3g & wifi.
but n95 is now phasing out after selling over 16 million units worldwide.

dear sir BUNZS,
hmm seems like there is no deadpixel on my unit(n95) whatsoever
have you considered taking it to nokia care? Maybe they would replace the unit?
because a dead pixel in due time would get larger....and large deadpixel definitely is no good :(

Hello to all fans of Nokia and N82..i am here to clear my confusion on 2 handsets on which i have to decide.i like n95 and n82...ok i am from india ..things of n95 i like is its a hyped thing more ofen seen with ppl.its interface is gud.it has big screen.it has 2 sided speakers 4 loud music.n the camera.wat i dono like is its slide mechanism makes it a weak suggestion than candy bar.it has 64mb ram.n its kinda old phone camparing to n82.i have even herad dat little rough use or few more drops n the cell's screen might crack..now bout n82..gud candy bar cell.all internal like processor ram 2 times better than n95.camera better(not seen much of its performance,i am ok with any type).well things i dono like..its screen brightness is lesser than n95.heard using gprs or wifi, net useage sometimes cause a problem.keys for typing little uncomfertable.its speakers are one sided,not much loud but soothing claritry(prefer little louder).i have'nt really at all seen peole useing n82.i am after performance basically.[both are prone to get affected by viruses].....so any1 any grt expert or who so ever has understood what all i mean to express pls prefer me which cell.i need to go for.plz plz help me.gadgets matter to me.here'z my mail id to livepd@gmail.com.i wud appritiate initiatives.thanx(yah i like listening to music, surfing net on cell,n i am not much of a gud handler of my cells).

I updated my nokia software updater on my laptop from nokia usa to nokia europe to upgrade my firmware to version 30. Unfortunately it didnt work since firmware version 30 is not available in the USA yet. How can I update my firmware from 20 to 30 then, since nokia USA only has version 20 still?
