I'll end the discussion on fake and real n95. Some chinese could be fake, but there are many real ones. If the imei number is registered with nokia then it's real, like mine ! I have gps, slides back, 5 meg camera, wi fi etc.

the phone's looks fat.. it's not friggi'n sexy even though it has a lot of features. people now go for the STYLE and the FEATURES i go for SAMSUNG G600 5 MGP a veryy sexy phone and pack of a loads of featuress

My n95 is made in china and its real and has no problems ! All you have to do is check the imei number with nokia to make sure it's legitimate before you buy!

i think its a gr8 mobile....i have been using it for a year now n i have been listening to music 24/7 n its wonderfull....the camera works beautifully n gives sharp pix...its n awesome cell !!

well i have this phone for about one year
to say the truth its the best no problems what so ever except from my heavy duty usage the nokia words on the phone are fading

a friend of mine ssells "china made" n95
well it's not really about the chinese making inferior products ( as we all know that mst of the genuine products are made in china) but it is about a certain company (CECT) making fake nokia phones in china....
well china phones would either indicate that they have a 2mp camera and newer versions of fake n95's even copy the whole 5mp logo at the back
but if you would check the quality of the images...it's worse than a 7650/3650
and in low light or indoors the camera viewfinder moves at 3fps making it look like you are using a very very primitive webcam
and recording a video is the same thing...low light 3fps...and in good lighting 7fps and in QVGA resolution
now as for the functions...the main theme(n95) is copied as it is but you cant load themes on it...you can only modify the wallpaper and the wallpaper would act as the main theme by itself
the resolution of the screen is kinda weird
at first glance it seems like its the exact same thing....but if you would notice the main menu icons...it's pixelated and has jaggies...
now going into the sub menus as the messaging folders...and settings...this is where the similarity of a genuine compared to a fake one stops...its has an entirely different sub menu(the fake one) compared to the fake ones and is quite slow to navigate in menu and into sub menus
fake n95 is only dual band...
doesnt have 3g nor hsdpa nor WIFI
it has a camera on front but you cant use it for video calls...
in a very funny way though...the quality of the front camera is the same as that of the back one
some fake n95s are touch screen but cant slide down, the newer fake ones doesnt have a touchscreen but it can slide down but the multimeia keys can only be used for listening to music not on videoand sliding down automatically prompts the music menu on the fake n95.
fake n95s come with 2 batteries which is ok but the battery life is inferior to that of the genuine one.
Listening to music for 2 hours drains the battery by 3-4 bars already...almost empty sometimes...
the ONLY ADVANTAGE of the fake n95 over the real one is the stereo music
I dont know how they managed to do it but the speakers of the fake n95's are somewhat clearer and definitely much louder...
