the n95 uses the wifi only in excluded areas where the recievers arent transmitted transmitted but if u want full functions u have to contact your dealer. also, the edge and WLAN are only activated if u have the full roaming capabilities that ur carrier provides

buy a N95 8G if you want this phone, most of the bugs on N95 are fixed on N95 8G version.
plus, it comes with a better case
glossy black finish: feels more durable, doesnt have the plastiky feeling of N95
better screen: 2.8inch as compared to 2.6 of N95
better battery: more or less 2 hours addition on talk time

What changes have been made to the new firmware 21.0.0.16 anyone know? I updated to this and cant really tell what has been changed apart from the camera seems a little better.

got this set from net bidding, seller said original package was not incl headset, is it true that i use normal 3.5 jack headphone to listen radio? in that case any problem into phone and i am sure i can't answer the call.anyone have answer? thanks

i just installed the new software and everytime i slide the multimedia function, the multimedia menu doesn't show up.it only tilts the screen

fake n05s (all of them) doesznt have autofocus nor macro
but it does have an extensive list of settings such as EV, whitebalance etc
but the time that it takes to actually snap a picture and to save it is even longer than a true autofocus camera
one thing that the fake n95 can do better than the original n95
is that the fake n95's external speakers are louder...actually very very loud and is of good quality too!!
headphones arent on par though....doesnt give a full stereo sound...more like mono with very noticeable hissing noises hehe

chinese (fake) n95 also known as cect 100 something...
doesnt have:
a 5 megapixel camera take a look at it yourself youll see 640x480 on maximum resolution of pictures(some fakes achieve 1600x1200 but the pictures are very blurry and out of focus)
and when video recording maximum resolution is at 176x144 videos recorded comes out very choppy as it lags!!!!
cant install themes nor apps(you can use a picture as wallpaper though, but that wallpaper will be the background of the whole menu as well
has pixelated menus...and the similarity of the menustops right there once you open up the submenus such as the messaging folder, media player everything is different
has dual cam but the frontal camera has VGA camera and is very out of focus(some fake n95s have a better frontal cam quality than at the main back camera)
once you slide down and reveal the multimedia keys..you can only use it to play music and not movies
is only dual band
doesnt have 3g,wifi nor hsdpa
main menu is very laggy and cant handle a full 1gig memory card well...
this fake n95 that Im referring to is the one that perfectly copies the phones external dimensions up to the logo at the back!!!!(also the latest fake n95 to date!!)
the touchscreen fake n95 is even wayyy inferior than the fake n95 that copies the external dimensions of the real n95...
why?
menu is even more laggy
camera is inferior to 6600
in low light camera lags to 3-5 fps even when at picture taking mode(this occurs for all the fake n95) snapping a picture takes 6 seconds to actually take the picture and not save yet...saving the picture takes 3 seconds and the camera delay is very very long after snapping a picture it will take more like 5 seconds before the actual picture taken shows up

acually the n95 isnt that expensive
you should try to get an original as its better quality a bit thinner too i believe
im not too sure about the dimensions but
for now unitl the other phones that are coming arent here yet this is the best phone you could get the n95 rocks world standard luvto the n95

Thanx there...In my country, they are the cheaper option of the original cool N95 series and the rest of the N series... I was a bit skeptical about them for sure because they are way to cheap as compared to the original one... Guess i wont buy any of the Chinese fons afterall... cheers...
