also the build quality for me is fine. all this rubbish about it rattling?! phone is still solid in my pocket.

i still think the camera is the best, well by that i mean the camera in the n95, n95-2 and the n82. When the lighting is good, it can take snaps as good as any digi camera (with a 5mp resolution obviously).

i use my n95 basically as a phone and a music player and i think the music quality is absolutely fantastic. Im a fan of in ear headphones and in comparison to my Zen, id say its the same, if not better! Through the external speakers, it also maintains the quality without any distortion. Ive taken the headphone jack for granted now but thats great too.

the wifi is brilliant too, once again, i just take it for granted and forget that the nokias are basically the only proper phones which have this. all this rubbish about sony erricsons being better, well obviously not! they dont do anything.

call quality on the N95 is great. Nokia seem to have a reputation for good call quality and i must agree.

I absolutely love symbian. i think its great and it runs quickly on this phone too. after the v.20 update and after i debranded my phone (stuck on the dreaded orange firmware eugh) my phone rarely hangs and i can leave it on for weeks without any problems (name another os that can do that!)

overall, its just a great phone. its the best ive ever owned, and what amazes me more is that it is still in the top 3 handsets out atm i feel. this is a great achievement because it came out 2 years ago!! nokia are so far ahead of the game i think its an insult to them to even compare them to the likes of sony erricson or samsung.

im done now.

allans right. after v.20 theres a significant change.

the other day i listened to 6 hours of music continously and my phone still had all 7 bars showing. of course the phone sometimes lies but i was impressed.

yeah and allan, imagine if the iphone had 3G, GPS and louder speakers, it wouldnt last a minute!

Ronald, it's never been a problem for me! Don't forget the iphone doesn't have alot of volume, so therefore less drainage on the battery, if you can deal with a lot less volume than the n95, and no gps on the iphone, once again no battery drainage on the iphone. So let's see , what could drain the battery on the iphone, wi fi and phone call's. Do you spend all day on wi fi or do you make and receive a lot of call's. If not of course your battery will last longer. I forgot, no 3g on the iphone, no chance for drainage there on the iphone!

Hey Allan I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the batteries between the N95 and the iPhone. I've owned both phones and I can definitely say that my N95 does not last nearly as long as my iPhone does. I remember having to charge the Nokia every 4 or 5 hours with heavy use. With the iPhone I got a good one and a half to two days depending on usage from a single charge.

I've had the n95 for almost a year now and i must say the quality is very good! I need no other phone! Here's what's great about it. Great camera and video recording, mp3 player loud with good quality, this phone will even hold a 6 gb card and more. Gps work's great, wi fi, internet radio, you tube, tv,with new software 20.0.015. Play's music video's! Slide show with music. Gps with music if you want, wi fi with music. N-gage gaming. A2DP. Everything in moderation and you can get by with the battery on a day to day basis! I do! Wear it in your shirt pocket while driving and you can advance the song's ahead or back with the stop ,play, rewind, forward button's while the phone is in landscape mode, all without taking your eye's off the road and change the volume as well!

Whether you install Garmin GPS on it or not, it will still use the in built gps functionality and battery, so the battery will still die unless you use a power adapter.

Yes it will play movies, but don't expect to watch a whole film once you've had the phone a few months, again the battery will die.

I've never understood the point of watching films on a 3" screen anyway. quickest route to a headache if you ask me!

Yeah as phones go it has one of the best cameras built into it I'll admit, but it's nothing compared to a proper digital camera. Ideal for funny moments I'd say, nothing more.

                                Biggest dissapointment for me ever.
I hear a lot of good things from friends and the internet about Nokia, I couldn't dissagree more!!!
                                Bad points:
                                1. Battery dies quickly
                                2. Running apps aggrevates the battery problem. (especially maps/BT/media player/internet/wifi/camera) in fact every app
                                3. Try pressing the middle button without pressing something else, grrr
                                4. press back 1 too many times and you are in wap, grrr
                                5. Slider moves easily while in pocket and then battery problems, grrr
                                6. T9 seems to pick rare words over common ones ie cv over at, grrr
                                7. navigate through 6 options where 2 should do (but this is nokia for you) grrr
                                8. Locks up, reboot needed, grrr
                                9. what's the point in providing maps if you can't use them without paying even more money.
                                10.vibrate, never noticed it yet.
11.buttons, never quite sure what button I'm pressing.
12.contact editting, to edit address, you've got to go down about 90 other useless fields.
13.Provided Headphones, more trouble than they are worth.
                                Good points:
                                1. Speakers are loud, you won't miss a call, that's for sure
                                2. BT is lightning quick
                                3. Proper headphone socket (about time) and good job really because the ones supplied sound like a tin can
                                4. Syncronises well with computer.
                                5. works well with hands free kits

                                Summary:
Stay away, if this a Nokia top of the range phone I'm not impressed. Don't buy it for the maps, as not worth the money and battery will run out before you're able to use it properly anyway.

The n95 look's horrible and the button's on the keypad are so small you need a magnifying glass just to see them. The picture on the arena here look's better, but when you see it in front of you it look's like a piece of crap!!
