I am thinking about getting the N95. Can anyone give me an honest account on how good the N95 is? Do you recomend actually getting one or stay well away?

        Thanks

n95 is what computers have become, crashing all the time, same battery life as a laptop, big bulky and would smash to bits if dropped

And by the way i loved the n95 wen i first got it and praised it highly and glad for nokia in what they attempted what i mean is they should have given a laymen a go of it then let the bad things about the fone be reported back.I really went on about this fone and was adjusting it to look like n95 8gb like andy burgin but things got seriously worse at the three month mark,,the slider got so loose it was scary and it crashed and crashed and battery was pathetic so got a 1350 ma version but this stuck out alot a started blisters on my hand but its still a landmark unit just glad to be rid of it,they have got to sort out symbian and battery life,,remember ive gone to samsung g600 but samsung got blasted when they brought out the q1 umpc for its poor battery life but answer this question how do s/e get so much out of the same battery ??? It can only be better electronics that are more efficient

on some fones you have 3 choices

                      3g only
                      dual mode
                      gsm only

dual mode allows both gsm and 3g to be activated at same time so if you travel out of 3g zone you can use the gsm network,,unfortunatly this takes its toll on the battery as in uk most of the time its gsm only and the device constantly searches for the faster 3g network and doing this drains battery fast ,so most people lock their fones or select gsm to stop this happening therefore saving battery life.

Cell info here in uk activates the dialling code for that particular cell you are in ,say lancashire 01227 is one dialling preface for that county but as you travel into cheshire you have different dialling code so a different number will be on your home screen. Its because you may have a number for that area but you need to put a dialling code infront of that number to get correct number so how can you get this dialling code well the local cell gives out this info so you know that where you are now uses that code hence cell info..sometimes it offers updated info for that particular cell area as well such as traffic roadworks,,announcements and news but ive never got this to work you get a list of channels to activate and was heavily featured in my sharp gx30.

to gsi16v ,,,it could be your n95 was destined for the THREE network which is 3g only but can nip onto gsm wen out of range for usual gsm stuff,,ive got rid of n95 its lid got very loose and battery simply unexcusable in a high drainage fone in an exclusive price bracket from the no" one mobile company. There are too many software issuses and would hate to have to call emergency services while this thing restarted or youve had to remove battery to get damn thing working you could be dead by then or the person your trying to help..It cost the price of a mid laptop and i was mad to get the dam thing but was swept up by the hype..Symbian needs rewriting and that goes for uiq p990i which was the next stupid thing i bought..

What is the "Cell Info Display"?

When I turn it on or off, it seems like there is no difference.
