Got this mobile a few weeks back and 4 the time beeing it runs ok. In stand by it lasts up to 60 hours if u speak around 1 hour in this time(I have also used the wi fi, took a few pictures and sended and received some data via bluetoth). If u use it INTENSLY as a camera or mp3 player the battery life will drop up to 24 hours.
Majors con's are: poor quality of the materials, not compact asembly(still it s made in finland not in hungary or china), the protection of the camera's shutter if opens by accident in your pocket and the camera will start even if the keypad is locked, das leaving u without battery pretty soon, also it runs out of network coverage from time to time, even if all the other mobiles around me have full signal.
How do I get to use the gps chip because every time I want to see my position it shows that I m somewhere in france or something. The maps are workink ok, but it seams that the gps antenna is not working.I see that I have 5 or 6 satelites coverage, but on the display while watching the maps I get a simbol like an antenna with an x in front of it.
One good thing is that the menu works fast enough.
It is an great mobile but I think they make as pay 2 much for it.

Huh, am I reading right? Over 100.000 votes in less then 6 months have been cast for this phone and well over 5.000.000 people have viewed this site ! Can it be ? Gsmarena must make a small fortune just by putting some ads on this page.

                        Hassan 444,

Its really a matter of preference, do you really need 8GB? I'm staying with the original for the subtle things like the lens cover and the memory slot. When they come up with new firmware you'll be able to use an 8GB card anyway. Plus, I think only the asian version is fully black, the north american version is just black on the back. Motorola just stepped it up and is releasing a ROKR E7 with 5MP Xenon flash, Wifi, the whole deal in 14mm package. I not a fan of motorola at all but that phone looks like the same as the E6 but its a lot better specs wise. BTW, Apple is releasing a new iPod full touch screen on Sept. 5. No need for an 8GB N95 then is there? I think the bottom line is if someone really wants everything in one package then the 8GB N95 is great but for people like me who want something good then the regular n95 with a few other devices alongside it is good.

                              The differences between N95 & N95 8GB

                              1) N95 with camera lens cover, 8GB removed the cover to free the space for bigger battery
                              2) N95 LCD display is slightly smaller than 8GB but the resolution is the same.
                              3) 8GB's betteries is stronger than N95
                              4) 8GB without memory card slot but with built in memory
                              5) 8GB is abt 8 gram heavier than N95.

Upto now it has been to the shop once and that was last week for a softwear upgrade because of crashing. other than that battery life is rather bad you get around 1 day for a full charge and the features arnt great

The N95 is a great phone. It proves that many are prepared to pay a high price for a multifeatured phone. Nokia have to now take a deep breath and look for ways of improving their devices. It is noted that they have not upgraded the GPS chipset to Sirf Star III. Is this because of pride or what?? Secondly are Nokia brave enough to move up to VGA screens?? This will give mobile users a vivid encounter. Remember people are prepared to pay for better features so Nokia should not hold back. N series users are not dunces. Many of them are sophisticated, so Nokia should not deprive them of a QWERTY just because it is a N series. My advice for any future N series would be to implement a Sirf Star III chipset for the GPS; design a slideout QWERTY; VGA 3 inch screen; 128RAM ; fast processor and expandable memory.
