i just bought it a month ago and indeed i love it. the sound quality coming out of the speakers are top notch and the camera is really really clear and its 5 megapixels. the music player itself is good and u can edit your song title and artist info and album info in the phone. the video taken with the camera is MPEG4 so its crisp clean and also it has gps navigation!! and 3G

to pjjr,,its coming from the troublesome rubbish,,seriously rubbish p990i and little screened n80 this is so much better for me..it expands on from the office and can get "some" things done whilst travelling that non-smartfones ive gone back to time and time wont..If my boss said right your computers have gone and your all going to use the n95 then what i have to do at work would be reduced by 90% because only so much is possible on the n95 but also could take 90 times as long to do.There is no way that its anywhere near even a basic computer
When i go on hols(10 yrs ago) and came back with the film you got the chance of 1 hr or 24 hr proceessing and get back a 6 by 4 inch print and thats all i do now with the n95,,i use the 3 mp mode and fotos come out just as good as film days and have no problem with them,,i think people want proffessional quality and that aint going to happen,,video is super,so is web browsing to the extent of the devices size and limitations,,so pjjr you are right about it does a lot of things some excellent some perhaps not comp standard but its a great help to me because its wat i need..The problem i see is that nokia,,s/e,,samsung continue to churn out the same old thing in a different shell theirs hardly any innovation and i do like what the apple i phone does with its screen but its so flawed with basic connectivity,no vid record 2 year contracts,,wat a nightmare im glad i live in uk

why do people moan about the battery life?a phone with all these features and in such a small shell will no doubt have a reduced battery life, get an alcatel if you want long battery life and only calls and texts otherwise embrace this phone as a great leap forward in style and substance.

brynn, yup but the thing is not so smart phones ie java ones have scientific calculators,pop3/imap email, push email etc.If your trying to tell me you would edit word docs using a little n95 then I will tell you the document your working on cannot be important! The n95 has a bit of everything but apart from the video and cam (when in ideal light)does nothing particularly well. The screen resolution is also a bit disappointing.

Mp doesnot matter in mobiles. How can N95 show 2592 x 1944 pixels when its display is only 240x320.

I have never seen any difference between 3mp and 5mp even when transferred to computer

To pjox below,,i would like to answer your question but i am puzzled as to why you would bring up the point of having a smartfone when atually you have answered your own question and its obvious that you dont need one..
These devices act as a portable means of getting so much done whilst been fully connected to the web as well as been portable(away from work).A laptop is huge and you still need a fone connection i.e. mobile to get your email and get info off web...These do all that and with suitable apps that sometimes you have to pay for but can edit your documents ,but, say your doing scientific calculations en route ? you multitask and go to your scientific calculater or converter chart to get your solutions,,then when youve done that ,,check your email,,headers only,,then your up to date with life..
If you have done what you can you can listen to mp3,video,radio if reception is ok,play a game...I can then skim thru all my diary to see where i am in my life and check that all is in order because life is hectic and YES its possible to forget birthdays or in my case that my fave mags are now available. There is so much more i do on my n95 but cant be bothered going thru sophisticated apps that i use but these devices can do so much such as voice recording apps that convert to high quality mp3 then edit out the unwanted bits then podcast it.
The n95 cannot compete with a laptop in which i think you might mean, its screens bigger and has big storage ,big ram,and bigger proccesser and i agree that nokia should not have said this is what computers have become. The term smartphones is a normal phone with an operating systen of one kind on and for me they do a really decent job. With your own software you tailor the device to your own requirments and make it work the way you want it to,there are 100"s of apps for these devices and some of the better safer software does incur a charge, but,if its going to be used a lot and its well written and benefits your daily life then the purchase of the price of 2 packs of fags will be a good investment dont you think ? If your just buying it to use as normal fone and just put on free apps or do nothing with it why not save your money and get a non-smartphone,it will save cash and most come nowadays with email.

I was wondering if anyone in the bay area, California, is using this phone and how the reception and if a data package is needed from the service provider for this phone. Also, if the usage of the wifi feature is free.

the 6120 classic doesn't even compare to the n95. no wifi, no 5 megapixel camera. that alone is the reason for difference in price.

That's why the e-series have qwerty keyboards, their more suitable for composing a letter etc.N95 has a wder appeal which is why it has sold by the barrowload. On a bus trip into town I noticed kids around 14years old using n95,I also noticed sharp dressers using them too.At the end of the day it's a device for fun more than replacing a laptop or high spec pda.

The hardware is good-5mp cam,GPS etc.As for the symbian os,it just seems a waste of time. Are the 3rd party applications needed?opera aside most of them are used once in a blue moon or do you folks use your n95 for serious activities?!!If so then what?Personally I would never use an n95 for any office work(other than email)cheers

a very good mobile, but if you do not need all these expensive function, have a look on E65, also not cheap but cheaper and good too

For all Filipino fans out there for N95, the price in Greenhills as of July 15, 2007 is 30,500 pesos in my friends store and comes with one year warranty in Nokia Care/Center. Other store offering it around 31,000-32,000 pesos. FYI!
