HOLY SHAMOLY........
I changed my code to euro1 using nss and upgraded firmware with nokia nsu and my n95 is like lightning and and and gps connects in 1 second on route 66 & nokia maps. I have a 4gb sandisk sdhc and i installed all my apps to card because it seems to mash up the phone if you store apps to phone. It's AMAZING, Im so happy LOL

If this new firmware can correct a few things that people are wanting and battery goes up a touch then this fone is perfect.Have had it good few weeks now and everything has worked spot on and using a 4 x aaa battery charger for support thruout the day..I think video is perfect for wat i need and wat i do is pop in a blank micro sd card (1gb )to take shots and video and on the 4gb have mp3s,,videos etc,,you definetly need the seperate card if your using full power video as mine on average sucks up 25mb per min of video recording which is normal and playback thru tele is unmatched to wat anything ive used before i.e. my d900 had cif at 15fps and that fiiled a normal def tele full screen but this (n95) improves vastly on that with smoother action and less graininess,,,i am using the 3 mp setting on cam thats good for wat i want and get enuf sound out the mp3 player with the dance music i listen too...im using mini opera now because nokias own mini-map browser is slow and that arrow curser sometimes does not point at links properly leaving you to go round and round till you pick up the link..The screen is really big wen you first get it but after a while wen i went back to my n80 you really, really appreciate the n95 screen size..Obviously their is loads more to explore and do but overall after having most smartfones this is the best in terms of stability & opertion..I cant get used to windows smarfones and each one ive had cant play many video formats and those it does stall after 30 seconds and refuse to play this n95 plays lots and you can also get divx down load to get more and if youre in 3g coverage if you go to video centre on n95 and d/load you tube vids it plays them,,and its blogs everything and timelines it,,and its got direct links to my space the list goes on so n95 is superb device,,try it,,you can always swap it under 14 refund/exchange policy at most reputable stores ,,bye.

i've crossed over from the titan.I must say the n95 is easier to use but has different qualities. If you need to use buisness applications then this phone is very limited.Basic functions such as copy and paste are a nightmare.

new firmware available version 12! (from allaboutsymbian.com) Although it doesnt show up in my NSU. version includes the highly anticipated Assisted GPS that will speed up lock-on time.

Hey, I really like this phone and am seriously contemplating buying one, its got loads of features crammed in it, but the BIG downside is the the poor battery consumption (which is a big thing)! The main reason I want this phone is because it's got a 5mp camera, but what I would like to know is ... is the camera good? I could just about deal with the bad battery (as after the 1st week of constant exploring this phone, it wouldn't get heavily used) so long as it gave me great pictures, I would be very satisfied with this phone! I suppose I could go for the Sony Erickson K850 (when it released), but when I get something I want to show off its numerous features (which the Nokia has by the bag load)!

This brings me onto the 'Black N95', does this phone have a better battery? Also what would definitely make me buy this phone is if the GPS navigation gave me verbal instructions, does the 'black' version have this feature for free?

            Thanks

its a great phone. I'm now using it for a week or more. battery depends on the usage. i can drain it in half a day or I can keep it for more than 2 days. I download map of my city but it doesn't have any detail. how can I add a better map to my N95 ?

output jack, inbuild gps navigation .but that's all

I find the browser really really slow especially when using GPRS but even with 3G it still takes a lot longer to load a page than my other phones.

I was wondering with n95 users complaining about the battery life. Mine, i use it heavily but still my battery life last for three days.Maybe you got the imitation battery check it first before complaining

I can say that this fone is CRAP because ive been throught this crap. Ok it has many functions but with barely 3 hours of music, you call this a multimedia device? Plus the photo and video taking takes too much of its battery, you call this a multimedia device? With so much compressed picture quality?! Without HIFI quality sound?! Creaky slider? Cheap plastic housing? This crap is only priced premium and not built premium! I sold mine and will wait 4 k850 of d n82. This premium priced fone will lessen upto 30% of its price when other 5meg phones are released.

I'm from Brunei, asean country near Singapore. I got a friend whose been using N95 for about a month..and he HAVE TO CHARGE every single day w/o fail,in a school,in his home,in his car, every sleep time..gosh!! For me that's crazy even he admit too, so what can he do more..just stay with his N95 till he decide to sell..I'm SE K800 user..well N95 cam with my doesnt seem to differ that much cos N95 only has LED light which just like a normal flash and mine have Xenon flash..well, Nokia N95 pls upgrade ur battery life..it's just sucks...my k800 just need to charge every 3days even 4days cos i dun use much of the music just text, short call and camera..even there will be N95 8gb Black edition with greater battery life, I'm sure the price tag will be really2 high like buying a laptop. I'm a fan both SE and Nokia but my SE fone never hang like N-Series phone. It's more user friendly than Nokia. Nokia couldnt beat SE Walkman phone i tell u because i have SE W850 before. The userface of Nokia so bored, it's always the same even Nokia music edition can't beat that! One more thing is Nokia headset compare to SE walkman. Duhh..even N95 headset couldnt beat SE W850 headset eardbud. I agree that N95 have the best speakersound but in terms of headset, still lack behind SE Walkman especially. Here in Brunei N95 cost about US$715. Too bad my country doesnt have GPS capability so it's a shame. I like the N95 features but BATTERY LIFE sucks..so shame..Now I'm waiting for SE W960 or SE K850..

Whereas i would love to see a black N95, and it could come along one day, i dont think those pictures are real (dont hurt me if i am wrong lol) When comparing it to all other Black N series phones, they all had black buttons - with the exception of n73. Could just be a very well done photoshop. Saying all this if it is true i will of course be buying one!

I have just taken mine back within 30 days, I will not be getting another N95, what a great phone. It's got one problem though, the battery is useless, some times it won't even last the whole day. Plus it hangs and does wierd shit and runs out of memory when playing back video.

It cold have been the best phone in the world but it just falls short on a few things.

Video and picture quality is great, if fact excellent. Bit slow to focus some times but even takes great pics in the darkness of a club.

GPS works well but chews battery big time, only gripe is that it takes ages to pick up satellite. Also you need a cradle for the car.

Wifi works great as does the blutooth.

Sreen is very nice and playback volume is pretty good, nice and loud but a bit tinny.

D-Texan, For PC compatability you should maybe look at the o2 Orbit.
Its has GPS, word, excel;, windows mobile 5.0, and is a phone to boot with 2.0 MP camera you cant go wrong. N95 is slow due to all the technicality that is built in the handset, like I said I have friends that work in the phone shops and they all said that the higher rate of returns are from the N95. :)
