I have the Latest Firmware 11.0.026

can ANYONE tell me why my 3rd Nokia N95 keeps re-starting itself?
Its only just started happening, but the phone will be just sitting there, all of a sudden it will just go white, then the nokia loading screen will come on as if the phone has been turned on..
after it has restarted itself, if anyone rings you or you ring them, you can hear their voice clearly, but they CANNOT hear you

Anyone else get this problem?

it used to do it when on the old Firmware was on my N95, and its still doing it with the new one!
it does it 2 - 3 times per day
apart from that, its an excellent phone and im very pleased with it
im on the 02 Network here in England

im losing the will to live!
is there another firmware update soon ?

This phone is very good. In terms of features, it is second to none. Battery life may not be as good as SE phones but usable. I have had it for a month and still luvin it. Except for GPS, it does everything very well (Camera, Media Player, WIFI etc). It does reboot (for unknown reasons) sometimes and slider could have been better.

From my point of view it's not the amount of applications available but the quality. To be fair some programs are ok'ish' but so many times you need a whole host of applications to do what should be achieved with a single program eg 1 app should play all the media formats mp3,wma,ogg,mpeg etc

The applications for symbian (s60) are very basic especially when compared to other platforms. It seems symbian hasn't evolved over the years, basically the os is popular due to Nokia and 8 out of 10 s60 owners have tunnel vision.N95 is wasted with that pathetic operating system!

I'm using the N95 for 1 month now and I'm very satisfied. In the beginning there were some issues regarding performance and lock-ups but after an OS update everything seems to work fine. There is only one thing that still bothers me: using the phonebook or log to call someone doesn't autmatically close the phonebook/log and thus it keeps running in the background. You have to exit manually. But still it's a GREATE PHONE !!!

Great fone but is degrading very fast. In the Philippines, it is almost half the price than last month. Now only 27K (abt 420$), I bought it at abt 580$ on the last 3 weeks. So I sold mine and will wait for k850. Its gonna be cheap considering that n95 will be around 22K or 360$ when K850 will be released. I wish n95 had an accelerometer like iPhone and K850i.

after reading most of the comments here. i've come to a conclusion that not every handset is built with the same standards. maybe there is fruad in to this like battery, memory card, covers, etc>
so i urge new buyers not to be fooled by cheap n95 that is out there and to buy original handsets from nokia dealers.
so that you would enjoy it like iam doing with oout any problems what so ever> even though not updated software. no problem

great phone, lots of features.. but symbian (on nokia phones).. oh god, nokia needs to move away from that os. speed and stability of symbian is the only reason i gave up on nokia. i had at least 15 models of nokia, starting off from 3320 and 8390 models. and still have them. but these symbian based phones are piece of junk. i moved to samsung and enjoing my U600 right now

good phone but in my opinion it's not a great one.The most important aspect is the os and unfortunately s60 Nokia's use Symbian which falls well short.

My friend got this phone, first when he turned it on, she opened the slider. Then the screen went haywire from a second and screen shut off. But the rest of the phone worked. When she closed it, nothing happened, everything still worked, BUT the screen.
She went back to the store to figure out what happened, and appearantly the connection was frayed.
Nokia may have good products, but they don't have a very good manufacturing quality. It's like 1/20 people get only the resonable quality ones. I bought a nokia before, N80 and my slider wobbled which happens normally, but this was a bit more then normal. My friend's N80 had no problems.

ive actually seen the phne, its build is plasticky, in short it looks cheap, unlike the n93, the material is of high quality. in the dark you can actually see the gaps on the slide. it shouldnt be that way... im still planning to buy n95 but am really thinkinh twice if i should.... im very confused

How many times do some people have to declare it's the best phone in the world? What are you guys going to say when the HTC Kaiser is released?hmmm probably exactly the same!!Ok it's a decent device even with it's somewhat outdated hardware :-)
