Hi Everyone

I'm on my 4th N95 in a month. I have had loose slider problems with all of them.

Can anyone help me with a tutorial on how to fix the slider myself?

PLEASE HELP! I'm fed up! They wont refund me...they keep on giving me a new one in staid. But when i open the box and slide the phone up, i find THE SAME LOOSE slider problem.

It's an OK digital camera, a GOOD video camera, but a HOPELESS phone-It doesnt even have basic phone functions as compared to basic Nokia models.Battery sucks!

Don't buy this phone, i was going to get it from an optus shop, in Australia, and they are no longer ordering this phone because they tested the phone when they got complaints and found problems with the gps. They are recalling all n95 and are canceling all contracts made with the phone.

not to be offensive, but working for O2 doesnt really mean that much after all, compare yourself to those who works in a phone store that deals with many other different brands including O2, the way of how they handle customer's warranty issues for all the different brands, i doubt they know any less than what you do. what you've said is basically like someone that works for honda saying "i know everything about cars".

Has symbian os improved since os7(7610) and os 8(6630)?I really like the n95 but would only buy if the os offers proper applications.I am aware of the number of apps and what they claim to do but from peer2peer to smartmovie I always found the programs were pretty lame on os7,8 i'm hoping everything has leaped forward.Opinions?

            To Kings

Does the 31,000 N95 in the Philippines come with a service provider contract, or it is line-free? Because here in HKG, a line-free N95 with 1yr HK-MACAU-CHINA warranty costs HK$6900.

              To Louie,

You have hold the rear firm and push the front upward. You may also operate the phone without doing the pushings. You can do VOICE command or VOICE dialing.

I am a first-timer Nokia user, I bought the N95 because I love technology and gadgets. The CONS I can say is the mechanical design. Knowing that it is a 2-way slide phone, it's not rigid. But I praise the Nokia designer on how he engineered to squeeze all those features into the N95. Knowing that it is newly lunched, we can't avoid the bugs. People at Nokia are fixing that, of course. And sad to say, it is unreasonably priced.

                  To Vlad,

Can u please tell me how the slide mechanism works? when u slide it up does it like N80, that u really need to push the rear upward.
                  Thanks in advance! :)

What am I doing wrong?? in the N95 you can add as many phone numbers as you want to a phone book entry...you can also edit the label, but when you synchronize it with the Nokia suite, it will not save the mubers teh way you set them in the phone...am i doing something wrong? or what´s the logic of having data in a device which you cannot store?

Thanks to anonymous for calling me a knob, think you'll find that counts as abuse!

I can say, hand on heart, I know more about phones than whoever that 'person' was. I've been working in O2 for over three years and deal with every issue in store. People are sent from stores miles away to see me, and I only work part-time, so yes, I think I know my stuff.

Like I said, if Nokia had spent some time testing the phones more thoroughly they wouldn't have had half these issues. I'm glad to see that firmware upgrades are solving some of the problems, but that doesn't stop customers getting angry when their all-singing, all-dancing new Nokia doesn't work from day 1. I was talking purely from the perspective of both salesperson and customer, it's simply not acceptable to hype a phone this much and not test it enough.

tut tut tut, I sense foul language amongst.

Also Im not on anyone side about the N95, just want to say Pete only said he was from virgin mobile and that nokia were recalling which is a fact as I am a marketing director for virgin mobile myself. I've just got home out of my back breaking office to put my feet up). every one has oppinions but is there any need in taking it personal.

So sad you all are. That is all.
