symbian 3rd ed is allways slow if you have to open a 1 mb picture and you have 500 in the gallerie of course the loading will be slower
this phone is a over all marvel you have to know how to use symbian for a while to get a good with n95

ok guys this is you re first experiance ! all pda phones have max 5 h of battery life time
samsung and lg are the worst for battery life not to mention motorolla you can only compare nokia to sonyericsson and smartphones
nokia has to make internal software for 10 h mp3 play back like the n73 5700 or or 5300
the best walkman phone arround is the n73 . way better then w810 or k790 or k800
nokia will never stop innovating i had a d600 before a wrather have a n95 , ok i have the n80 to battery is good if i charge it with the original charger but still bad
in 4 h i used 3 battery with calls wi fi music messenger edge web browsing for the n80 ok n95 has more then that 4 h

just awful never thought nokia could make sumthin so bad the battery lasts for like fiv mins and its so slow a carrier pidgeon would be quicker wish id never got it

1) The Multimedia button always hangs up everyday. Is there a fix for this problem?
2) I saved photos into the 1GB T-Flash that goes with the phone. Now the photos have accumulated to hundreds. The N95 is very slow while browsing and opening photos from the memory card.

Alright guys, been coming to this website for weeks while deciding to buy this phone or not. Must say there are some pretty good comments about the pros and cons of this phone from intelligent people. There are also about 15% of comments from retards and people incapable of holding "an intelligent thought" who come in here to say my "e9000" is better aight and this "phone syuxxxx". dimwits. Empty vessels to do make more noise.
Anyhow this is my review of the phone which I ended up buying this week after 2 months of waiting and thinking. I got the APAC version, must say the Slider is built solid, no wobbles nothing. Its AMAZINGLY light, my god I cant believe how featherweight it is and I love it cause its PORTABLE. I just sold my N80 after 2 months cause it was a brick and its battery was just horendous. It really was too heavy to carry around but thats just me.
This phone has been giving me about 2 days of battery life while using Wifi, make few calls throughou the day, 15 text messages, some music and photos.
The GPS is just great, locks on really good, takes some time initilly to lock but once it does its for good! I must say the most amazing feature I have that I was soo surprised of having is that it gives me VOICE navigation. I didnt buy it or pay for it, I just started navigating and it started giving me voice commands. Just sweet.
Photos are great, the cam on N80 was such garbage, the flash was a blip, photos were blurry to no avail. N95 however has a beautiful camera, not 100% perfect but I am very very happy with it.
Wifi is very fast too and has good signal.
Must say get the firmware update, change your region code to Euro1 and get the update, it totally makes the phone Faster than before and SOOO much more than the buggy slow N80.
ANyways I must say I love this phone, I am just installing apps to do VOIP and watch LiveTV. Cant wait. So much to do with this phone. If you are on the fence about this phone, go get it. You will be surprised. If you can afford it. If not perhaps wait for about 5-6 months, it probably will come down a little.

ok heres what you need to know about symbian
exit all applications in background that takes battery life gps radio cam wi fi .
then put the phone in gsm only carry 2 battery thats it and a charger there is tonns of places where we can put extra battery or charger
walkman phones from sony ericson problems
no os like symbian
most are not quadband
and max 2mp
advantage to have a n73
n73
3.2 mp + symbian os + quadband 5h talk time and 10 h mp3 playback
but no wi fi no tv out
battery wize n73, e50 and 5700 are 3 excellent phones
features wise the n93 and n95
n95 quadband for providers that has 850 and 1900 not n93 900 1800 1900mhz

i know 2 peoples that got the phone from findland and no problem i got mine from nokia no problem the phone works perfectly no freesing no problem we also =did the software update and we resetted , we are in cannada so the only prob with the phone if we want extra batterys its not available here in canada so watch if the battery is original 100% there can be fake ones that dont last long i stay connecting on msn and music playback for 4.5h , i can listen to at least a 1 h movie
the only phone that has all the feature of sony walkman phones and a nokia symbian os is the n73 or the 5700

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IS how many features on the phone = more you can do thats it you dont need to carry 6 devices you can bring them if you want i can play mobies or games on my computer stream the action live to my phone and plug it to the tv so it plays on the computer the n95 and my big screen in the living room at the same time

I"ve just downloaded the maps on to my memory card an it looks as though its good now for using the maps,People are slaggin the phone down to much i got mine of Ebay an its been a superb handset an never been slow for me an after upgrading the firewall its alot better now an quicker,go to www.nokiablog.com who want to upgrade there firewall without using the offical Nokia page an you will see the correct an faster way to get your firewall download,just keep checking Ebay now an again as i want the N95 in Black as i did the same to my N73 an Black to me is best colour for a mobile,an the Adobe photoalbum is brilliant for autofixing your photos an improves them alot more,the only thing i agree with everyone is the shit battery life

does N95 bought in India work in Japan? I am told AIRTEL connections whether or not you have international roaming will NOT work in Japan. Only CDMA and 3G works there- then why won't N73 and N95 work ?

This phone is over rated. I like the e65 is looks more solid in design than the n95. with the n95 the case seems like plastic for a £600 handset.
The battery life is absolutely pants. Why didn't these incompotent membranes design a phone with a long battery life. I have a Sony erricson w800 and the battery life is superb. Nokia your being too cheap to make a good battery. I suggest to not use colourful theme it will drain you battery and make navigating slow.
The operating system is a bit slow and crashes alot when i use java gaming or intensive application. Hopefully there can be an update.
The battery meter reading does not work. I had 3 battery bars one minute, 2 hours later the phone is dead. Nokia please make a process manager for the phone so we can kill background applications running.

will never buy nokia ever just stress after stress,it switches off mid call or the other person can't hear me at all and slow indeed,as for the camera not what they say have a digi camera same resolution far much better.nokia never

I wonder ppl really know how use GPS or know what it is? just read user guide and wait 5 to 10 min for first time(don't touch the keypad and use in outdoor).

iv just got one 3 weeks ago. This phone is simply poor:
+slow processor
+timer not defined in some case (try t call, someone and let de called reject the call... the occupation tone lasts for 5 min and no way to do anything... just wait or remove the bat)
+ gps daznt work.... an eternity before displaynin no sat converage...
+ etc ...
+ last but not least: very very poor battery... bat went off daily ... if you dont use the phone (standyby), the bat lasts 2 days.
the gps is the func why i bought this device .... BUT IT DAZNT WORKKKK

Was very excited to acquire a new N95 but after just a month I am on my third model having been plagued with problems ?
Battery Life is poor. It takes too long to spring into life from start ? Camera is too slow in shutter speed to take any picture in which the subject moves ? Do not believe their claim of 5Mega Pixels ? The large screen will tarnish very easily as it has been designed without the practical consideration of a protective cover and there is no custom designed carry case available to protect what is Nokia's top model. Becoming increasing disillusioned with what is a very novel yet expensive and badly conceived package ????
