hey guys, I think this phone has issues, I,ve already got my Second N95 in the last 2 weeks, the first-one frozen very often nothing was working the only way to make it work was taking the batt. out and re-start it, then I could not send & receive SMS overseas, never could connect to satellite, Batt. only last between 4 & 5 Hrs. and the other thing I find-out was while U R in a call, U can NOT scroll for contacts numbers & can not use SMS messeges, I think there are too many troubles in just one phone specially too pricey, if any-one having similar problems, could you please let me know, I,ve got my second-one now but I haven't fully test it yet... Hello guys! pls and pls dont buy this phone. it's good featured phone but the design is very very poor. i bought it and sold d same day. It's a slide phone instead of a candy bar, and there is no spring in opening the slide up, which is even worse than N80 also in terms of display colour, that determine the resolution of the display. 16m and 262k colours with the same resolution, is has the same colours so nokia is telling lies that, their symbian phones has 16m colours buy n73 is much much better.

You can download maps to your phone through wifi (free), GPRS (pay data usage), to mem card (free and fastest), or to phone (free and v.slow for some reason) - directly from nokia with their software. They have it for over 100 countries. If you dn't have it downloaded on mem card then u can enable it to use wifi and download the maps as needed (you can disable that).

I have it for about 2+ weeks. I love it. GPS works perfect for me. Takes 2min, other time 10min to get a lock but then it works perfect. Screen is one of the sharpest I have seen. Camera in low lightning is ok, outside its extremely good. Battery life is avg Nokia (decently good) if u use it as a phone. If you use GPS and camera etc, then u have to charge it daily. I am a semi-heavy phone user. Never hung, really slow down for me. When you switch from one slide to the other side, then it takes 4 seconds to catch up. There are little things that could be improved but overall i find it extremely useful and practical. Size is v.nice as well, don't find it big (nor has anyone else i showed off to has find it big yet). Wifi is good speed as well.

arghhh....bought my N95 2 wks ago. but im not happy with it. Regret of buying this phone. It is totally different with what NOKIA advertized. there too many problems with the phone:
1. battery life is damn short
2. 5mp camera is not that good, picture & video quality just normal. My previous Sharp 903SH 3.2mp is 1000 times better
3. menu speed is too slow, sometime I thougt it was "hanging", but it not, actually it is running but DAMN SLOW, expecialy when you want to open "items & videos".
4. internal GPS does not work well. Always say GPS signal are unavailable even im under a clear sky view, and might take up to 15mins to get the GPS connected.
ARGHHH....With all of these issues, I dont think it's worth it to buy this phone. Damn it, I wanna sell this phone away.

Can someone please let me know if they have an OS Lag. Ive heard loading up funcitons or navigatign though the phone is very slow. Is this true? Thinking of buying this phone. Is it worth it? or somehting just as good on the market to look out for?

1. I would like to know if the GPS Mapping system use the Internet Connection ? Shouldn`t have an integrated GPS receiver ?
2. How did you download the GPS Map application to your N73 ?

my GPS is not working plz help i start the map program and it shows a satellite dish with a cross on it, i go to the view-satellite info and it shows there is a signal when i press the GPS Pos it point somewhere in eourpe even that i'm in the middle east help plz

If you have upgraded the software(fw)it does preform a little better but yes the device is quite slow.Install 3rd party apps onto memory card and free up as much RAM as possible.Hopefully future firmware will make the unit preform faster.To the other guy-Nokia are heavily tied with symbian so unfortunately if you want a nokia smartphone you have to put up with symbian inadequaties.

i downloaded the map loader application in my Nokia N73, it's work !!! ,,,, hahaa.... no need buy Nokia N95 also can have GPS software....

Hey every Body im goin to buy N95 tomorrow so can any one give me any advice before I hurry up and be sorry for buying it fast.....
And about the battery its ok i know how to make it better.....
1.Turn off every thing in the standby mode
2.make the network GSM only
3.dont use always the flash in camera because there is night mode too and its more helpful
4.when ill buy it ill put it on the charger untill becoming full battery and with this way u will set the battery life very long....

great mobz but nokia, if ya gonna make a top of the line $1400 mobz then it should be a able to handle having more than one programe open befor it starts getting slow and playing catch up...fix it now!

Hi,
I have recently bought this phone and when I try and use the GPS it says I have no internet connection.
I bought from o2 and it cam with a 1GB mem card with the maps pre-oinstalled. It seems to be trying to use the internet to get a GPS lock. Is this normal? and how can I get it to fond a GPS signal?
