Using Nokia map loader from a windows PC via USB to my N95. The download rate is extremely slow.
Any one else had this problem?

I bought n95 some time ago. It works well, and camera is really amazing. You can use navigator for free, all maps are free. It takes some time to start, but GPS is quite accurate. Maps cover whole world. Only thing is navigator that costs is navigating with voice (it tells you, where to turn).
It plays mp3:s and videos very well, and in 2GB microsd fits any kind of movie. You can change videos to form mp4 or else with software, that comes with the package. You can upgrade phone with that software, too.
Quality of sound is great when talking, and phone sends messages fastly. It can also connect to WLAN and surf internet surprisingly well.

battery problems only for new users
new users of symbian phones
to all new users
press and hold the smart menu key on the till a side bar pops up if u see all thease applications runnings thats why youre battery is dying quickly

in honesty... this phone is over rated... manyphone has the same function... more or less. but they go for much lower price. this phone is just like the 8800... what's the targeting market? people who has money and don't know how to spend it. how often are you going to drive to somewhere you have NO idea where the location is? unless you are a travaller... backpack ones and a backpack travaller does NOT invest in a phone. if you are a worker, buying this phone just shows you have no idea of investment. one more thing, this is just a flashy phone. Get a life people... this phone doesn't worth 900+...

I've had the n95 for a month now and im totally dissapointed,not worth even getting it free on a contract. 1.the battery dosen't even last a day with a full charge (whatever you do dont use the camera for more than 20 mins or you will be looking 4 the nearest power point to charge it)2. when i make a call sumtimes the person i'm calling can't hear me unless i press loudspeaker then handset buttons.3.the fone crashes at least 5 times a day 4. the pixel quality is great but even with digital zoom,dont go zooming in on things you will be dissapointed.5.the g.p.s is useless 6.the n95 has a micro sd card slot instead of a miny sd slot ,so if ur like me and hav upgraded from the n80 you mite as well just bin the cards. 7. whatever u do DONT ever drop it. it will shatter into a million little pieces unlike the n80 which was bounced off walls a few times and survived (not recommended ). and thats about it. not happy with the n95 at all!!! and a word to nokia......... test the fones before selling them and please use different software! the n80 wasn't that good and the is n95 even worse!

Good news now a new firewall is available on the Nokia website an its improved the phone more now check yours by pressing *//0000// an the new one i have is V.11.0.0.26,17-04-07,RM-159,Nokia N95(66.01) if you have any problem check it out using www.nokiablog.com an it helps you get the correct codes to put in when it says check your mobile is available on the Nokia website

Bought the phone yesterday, highly impressed. When i close the slide, it does not end the call or program, a setting on the phone or is this normal?

this phone is one of the best phones produced only drawback is battery life and ver high price when initially released. Overall, I am satisfied with this unit especially now that the price is going down.
