Symbian and again with the N-series.. You'd better have 2 years of warranty! I find it really strange that although the Nokia N95 is just recently released and there are more votes than on the N80, which are so positive. My experience with almost all N-series as a salesman is that the quality is very poor and what is even more poor is the way that Nokia deals with the problems.

Speaking for myself I had two different Symbian phones in around 9 months which alltogether had to be returned to Nokia for 9 times and in all cases the Nokia phone came back without repairment.

My advice... don't buy Nokia unless they really fix their service. It's a shame!

I have bought yesterday nokia n95 I will say honestly the battery is so much worst that I have to charge it 2 times in a day this is something not expectd from nokia when they comeout with such high price phone they should really see that the products is free from bugs and it should not have problems but very sorry to say battery is so much worst that I never expected such issue atleast on part of n95 others people also on forum has issue with n95 battery which I have read and also no new software version is available at this momement to solve the issue so what to say about nokiaand its phone ? I feel we pay high price but we really buy trouble for ourself I hope u will agree on this

If you have this pone and want to use GPS, then please remeber that you can download the maps for free from www.nokia.com/maps if you do it via the network, it'll cost you loads. WHen you have done that, it will take approx 30 mins to install them, but then that;s done. The first time you do a satalite search, with will take about 10 mins to get a lock on on all four satalites, but once it's done, it's done! Hope that helps.

listen up, wait for the next 5 mega pixel camera phone from nokia and stop torturing yourselves over this little shit! its nice and full of features but it has a lot of faults and its way to slow and yes it crashes too!

the picture quality is good but nokia still has to work on the colour balancing as the pictures look to artificial just the same as the n73!

if you owned the k800i then you'll know that it takes much better natural looking pictures over both the n95 and the n73.

the only place where it really shines is the video quality which you have to praise nokia for and not forgetting its excellent display but other than that, we are left with a crappy firmware, a very bad build quality, a very slow camera interface and not forgetting the sound quality which really is not that good.

when there is so much features packed into one single device, it is only to be expected! you cant have the best of each feature, not yet anyway!

mine is up for sale on ebay from where i got it from in the first place.

over all i am dissapointed just like i was with the nokia n73!

i would have kept this phone if:
                  1. the camera interface was faster
                  2. it took natural life like pictures and didn't add too much of that artificial processing which nokia n73 also seems to do!
                  3. the build quality was much better.
                  4. battery life was longer.

its a shame really because where sony makes a good cybershot camera phone, it doesnt offer anything else like nokia's symbian phones do!

and where nokia makes symbian based smartphones which are just about more usuable than sony's, it lets us down with its clumsy and slow camera interface and its artificial picture qualty!

will wait and see what nokia do next but in the mean time, i'm a windows mobile 6 enthusiast!

Q: What is the difference between route planning and navigation?
                      A:
Route planning is a free feature. It calculates and displays a route between two locations. A route simulation (with voice commands) is also possible (free of charge).
Navigation is an extra service, which is available for purchase. Navigation means that the route is calculated from the user???s GPS position to a chosen destination. The navigation is voice-guided, meaning it tells the user how to get to the desired destination step by step (for example, "in 300 meters turn left???"). Navigation also automatically re-calculates the route if the user takes a wrong turn.
The navigation feature can only be purchased for regions for which a navigable map is available (there are navigable and non-navigable maps). A route simulation is also not possible on non-navigable maps. This is due to the often poor quality of map information on these maps.

Hallo everyone. I got my N95 as a free upgrade from Orange three days ago. Seems I am, like kevineu, one of the lucky ones. Phone does not seem to have a wobbly right side (apart from the 1/2mm when closed), camera is brilliant etc. My only complaint is that it came striped of a microSD and a case (I had to look at ebay, prices not too bad).

I have not used it much though, tried as much as I could without a USIM (I am still using my N70 until my case and microSD arrive)so I cannot comment on GPS etc. The thing is, though, Orange users manual does warns you about extra charges for maps etc, and also points out that there is a way to DISABLE the automatic downloads so you can avoid being charge without realising, as well as downloading free maps. As far as I can remember, it also gives a link (I have not extensively researched yet as I have not activated my new USIM yet)for you to do so.

My advice is, get some sort of insurance on the phone (orange has the -slightly overpriced- £5/month 'orange care')and no mater what happens you will get a replacement. They did it with my 7650 and N70 in the past.

I am not too high tech, so I could use your help with this 'firmware' flash you say it solves problems. I tried to look at the first page and the N95 does not appear in the drop down menu for any software downloads. Is it because it is too new yet? What sort of problems do you refer to when you say that the phone is bad? I mean, I DO have wi-fi at home and wuld like to find out more about the VOIP calls. How can I check if Orange has removed this feature from my phone? Does a re-instalation of the firmware solve this issue?

N95 is a good phone with great features. but, my question is why a leader company like nokia always have a stupid 1st version of any software. i trashed 2 N93 and 3 N73, and unfortunatly the N95 is no different. it is slow and hangs and the dealer said that i only have to wait the software upgrade. so there you have it
