v...as for the orbit...the current o2 book says free on 35.00 tariff and above and you get the CoPilot free on 40.00 tariff and above...don't know if that helps any...

v...as with anything they're only going to offer the minimum they think you will except...if you want it cheaper and feel you spend enough with them to justify a lower price then you have to push for it...doesn't sound like you got many txts for your money...but if you don't use them then it doesn't matter...sounds like you got talked around by a nice sales girlie!!

thx Lyn. sensible view. I believe i got a good deal but when I was tryin to upgrade for the Orbit, somebody had a review sayin they got the phone for free with the CoPilot for £20, whereas i was only offered that for £30.
I do understand that the n95 is a much more sought after phone hence the price tag but i don't want to be getting a 'lesser' deal seen as i have spent some time n money with O2.

helo Suzy, I rightly said the online 500 talker tariff which is 1000 mins+150 txt+£35. this would b a discontinued tariff.
The online 50 is the long weekend tariff with 1000mins+long weekend+200text for £50, if am correct.
As mentioned, the lady i spoke to confirmed the details of the contract when we were concluding the deal.
But u r most probably aware that when ur expenses r on the higher tier u get beter upgrades. mine has been on the higher tier if i am correct. (above 60, bordering 65 on AVERAGE) Besides that i have had 3 contraks with O2, reduced to 2 now.
The lady on the phone was well nice (would love to talk to her again), so i just hope she didn't mess up when she said i would get £5 off my contract with the phone for free.
I have used symbian OS before but never realy warmed up to it.Was considering going for the Orbit. Can anyone advise me on that plz? The 5mpx camera is not an issue. neither is the ram (memory is expandable on the orbit!!).

hi...it depends on how long you've been with them and how much you usually spend each month...i've been with them about 4 years and my tariff is about 50 but i always end up spending between 70-90 each month...if you spend that much they don't want to lose you!! Sounds like you got a good deal in the end tho...

I have had some rough times with O2 ,but turned out okish in the end, was due to upgrade in Feb, they offered me lg shine, I said id wait for n95. they had offered me £35 plan of 1000 txt + 1000 bolt on, 600a/time mins and free wknd calls. so I waited for n95. Fri last week, o2 tell me to ring 4 n95 this pm, I did and all were gone, chap @ o2 said I cant back order etc, I rang again 2nite not happy id missed out, they then said I could back order but I can no longer get my 1000 Bolted onto the 1000 txts as the offer not for the n95, displeased i spoke to manager, managed in end 1400 text, 600 a/time mins plus free wknd calls for £35 plus £89.99 for the phone. Im ok with it but not over the moon. should get around 11th. I am surprised of earlier message saying she got phone free plus reduced tarif online talker 50, (500?) maybe due to it having less texts as i had to virtually beg for what i got.

my new tariff is long weekends plus 800 minutes 500 txts plus 400 for free plus a 200 txt bolt on coz i needed more...for 49.00...i thought that was quite good. and the free phone obviously...as and when it turns up!!

Hello peeps,
ordered the n95 from o2 just now. receiving it around the 11th. on my upgrade they offered it to me for free + £5 off the online 500 talker tariff, which makes it £30 per month+18months+phone for free.
I am aware that O2 often gives different deals to customers, this is normal business pratice at the end of the day.
But do u people think they gave me a good deal? I would especially appreciate if O2 employees could tell me what they think.
I should point out that in spite of the business pratice mentioned above, i believe O2 are amazingly good.
P.S spoke to a realy nice young lady, she was 5 mins from going on her break. If u r reading this, you can give me a call anytime. give me yr address n i'l send u the flowers and choco :)

Its the 2nd of April and i've just bought my N95. People saying that it wont be out until the 11th or later are wrong. Me and my friend both got one today. However, there are very very limited stocks! My friend bought his at about 10 oclock this morning, and he got the last one... I was lucky to get the last one at about mid-day today! Anyway, Amazing phone! Dont know why everyone is bitching about them! There spot on!

O2 Retention/Upgrades will have this handset available in stock (aprox 1000 handsets) on the 5th April. Handset deliverys are estimated at/around 11th April due to bank holidays.
This is the latest and information... Now please stop complaining about it.

Orange have just phoned me up asking if i wanted to upgrade to n95, i would need to pay 200 smakers for it, so i ended my contract with them took out the same contract plan, 12 month contract 55 line rental 800 mins and unlimited text and the handset for 49.99, down side is the phone is silver and black at the back, well either way i've got one after all this waiting, it comes on wed. i asked if it's generic or a orange varient, orange of course!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets hope they havent tweaked too much
