AnonD-23048, 21 Sep 2011nokia will never be able replace the n900 just as they fail... moreAlso, I would like to add the guy behind all this macro-soft deal is actually putting off the real essence of Nokia, which is infact its own marvelous OSs(Maemo/ Symbian), if parted will surely loose the real Nokia, though company may grow, but it will be more like MicroSoft rather than a real Nokia.

AnonD-23048, 21 Sep 2011nokia will never be able replace the n900 just as they fail... moreSo true, I myself code for Android and I know how good is Maemo/ Meego, infact I own an N900 rather than some android device, cause Android is no where near to Maemo, which I would say is the true powerful OS.

nokia will never be able replace the n900 just as they failed a lot to replace the n95 8gb
Look now the n950 doesnt even have fm radio.infra red, divx player, flash player and 3d graphics
I think it's time for nokia to wisen-up
i'm not saying they should run after android no but they should walk away from from the macro-soft and re-new their partnership with the intel
so they can make good mobile computers such like the gaint N95 8GB and N900
N95 8Gb was the good phone that nokia ever made with 3D graphics and a High quality 5 megapixel cam that much like 8 mp
I own the N900 so i know how good is the phone
you can open any web page and it also surport the flash player pages since it came up with flash player 9.4 and this was because of their partnership with the Intel

So nokia really need to go back to maemo 5 or maybe upgrade it to maemo 6 and meego and re-new their partnership with the intel make those mobile computers like the N900 then we can beat
The android the hell out of the way

I've read about the N9 and it's not as pleasing since its meego without a powerful flash player
So users wont be able to explore the full web since the phone only comes with flash player v4
And another downside of the phone is that it doesnt come with a keyboard so typing wont be as pleasing as on the other phones like E7,N900,N97 and C6
So i hate the N9 for that reason
in conclusion i can say that i still think nokia can make it without the noisy android
They just need to quit the macrosoft and upgrade to meego, maemo and intel
Intel are good in mobile computing they have got experience thats much better than the macrosoft
we all know that macrosoft never made any best selling phones but nokia did it with the symbian

Symbian is still good as well although it might need a serious upgrade and work-out

my last word to Nokia is that Nokia please quit macrosoft and focus more on upgrading to maemo, meego and intel

                    Nokia choose Windows.
In a world where all corporations are looking to reduce costs, in a world where security is becoming a major concern, in a world where open-source become a standard and a requirement, Nokia choose Windows.

Well Nokia should know that people are evolving and the time of children's playing game after game is history.
People want a robust, flexible, stable, scalable, portable, secure and open operating system. And sorry to tell you Nokia, this is not Windows.

Nokia, Open your mind, Open your ears, Open your eyes, Open your senses, Open your source to the world and you will win.

                    Regards,

unfortunatly the public will never get their hands on this which is very sad considering how good the N950 is even in a developer only state ie not having the greatest specs. There is no point posting negative comments when you will never see one.
I have a N900 and a N950 and can say the N950 is a great phone and the N9 is even better only because the public can buy it, Nokia need todo the right thing and say goodbye to WP and put Meego/harmattan in it's rightful place as their number one OS it would be a market leader for sure.

why is every one comparing symbian os to meego, sure symbian we all know is far from the competition, while meego we've only watched some videos and it does look promising until we see a full review or try it we can give a honest opinion about it and after all more competition means better handsets for all and sorry if i dont write correctly english is not my first language

The hardware of this phone is promising as usuall from nokia. but nokia still lacks good software for its smartphones. pliz nokia give this phone symbian operating system.

I think that it is something wrong in the specification.
The width of the screen is 49.78mm and the width of the phone is 48mm. So, the screen is bigger than the phone.
I calculate the screen dimensions using the size of 4" and the aspect ratio of the screen using the aspect ratio of the screen resolution (480x854).
Ok, I presume that the dpi is the same for vertical and horizontal to calculate the aspect ratio.
