Anonymous, 30 Apr 2009I work at a phone store, and i also have the nokia N95 8GB.... moreYep!
People need to learn how to use Symbian first, and only afterwards complain.
It's like 'You wanted a PC-like phone? Well, you gotta start learning how to work with a PC! Then you'll admit the N95 8GB is the king! So far...'.
Well, of course it hangs and freezes a lot. If one loads millions of applications at a time, it might aswell burn! Yeaaahhh! :))

And how does K850's Xenon fair with that of N82? Did you ever think that they're of the same quality? Of course, no! N82 wouldn't have gotten all the fuss and hype if its Xenon power was same as that from that K-series dumbphone! 2007-2008 was the time of 5 megapixel camera phones. And Nokia needed a one device that would stand as their imaging flagship. And that is no other than the N82. Other 5MP camera phones have gone to focus on other multimedia department. And the imaging specialization was left to N82 that's why Nokia equipped it with all the powerful weapons it needed to stand among the rest - 5MP Carl Zeiss lens, Xenon flash, proper lens cover, and advanced imaging software. Nokia was never threatened by K850 nor by its Xenon flash. K850 has long been defeated in its camera duel with N95-1, about 8 months before N82 is released.

can u symbian users do all the office work as much as possible with windows mobile 6.1?.e.g reading n editing word document, pdf, power point presentations. if the answer is NO, then i say SYMBIAN is only for KIDS. symbian only entertainment and no work. its only for useless people.burden on earth. WINDOWS mobile 6.1 combines both entertainment and work

Aaron, 30 Apr 2009You average people must've misunderstood what the propeller... moreSo your telling me that having a Xenon Flash is 'High-End' as compared to N95 8GB's LED...
NO, its all in the marketing strategy!
Nokia on purpose saved the Xenon Flash for N82, becuase of the threat from Sony Ericsson K850i(Which is my previous phone and competitor for N82) and the Samsung G810(Again a threat from Samsungs side)
If those were not there threatening Nokia with the Camera specifications, Nokia wouldn't even bothered with Xenon in N82..
So don't blame Nokia's flagship, its the competitors...
And iv owned the SE K850i and now got a N95 8GB since i sold the K850 and i don't miss the Xenon..
N95 8GB is just to superior for those camera-centric phones (N82, G810, K850)

I work at a phone store, and i also have the nokia N95 8GB. The amount of 8GB phone's that are coming in for repairs in the last few months is crazy. The phone freezing, keypad troubles and battery life are the 8GB's main problems. although i still am madly in love with the phone, it does have it's issues and recently my own 8GB's keypad stopped working so im questioning nokia at this time whether or not they make good phones anymore.

You average people must've misunderstood what the propeller thing is all about. It's only a connotation. Imagine. If your camera smartphone slash multimedia computer can capture propellers in the dark, it means it can capture literally anything and everything at anytime. Darkness and blurriness are definitely not in N82's vocabulary. Now you get what I mean.

These pages are really loosing their purpose. Aaron please dont spam. By now allmost everybody knows that N95 8GB and N82 are very similar but it is really pointless to repeat that N82 is better because you said yourself that their main differences are slider/candy bar form, xenon/led flash and screen size. OK, we get it, we allready knew that, your holy goal is achieved, now you can leave this forum and get a life. I mean, I plan to buy N95 8GB in a few weeks, I visit this site because I want to find out as much as I can about this phone from the people who own it for at least a year or so. I also visited N82 forum and unfortunatley there are much more complaints over there. That is all I need to know about N82. And I wonder have you ever used your N82 to make a single phone call, considering the time you spend on this forum, or are you just using it to shoot night pics?

Oh! 6220c? As far as I know, the dual LED flash on N85 is still brighter than the Xenon flash on 6220c. N82's Xenon flash is much more worth it than any other single feature from the N95 and N95 8GB. You want N95, then buy N95 or N95 8GB. You want N95 plus a Xenon flash, then buy N82!

Other negative points about this phone:
The menu's are a bit long winded. You have to press 7 keys before you can start typing a text.
You can't assign individual text tones to contacts (not without downloading extra software)
The blutooth is a bit iffy. It has trouble finding certain makes of phones and can struggle to find the same phone on multiple scans.
