We're trying to help people that want to know about N958gb or are having issues with the device. You can praise N82 on the N82 section as much as you want, that's why these things are separate. Here you're not helping anyone but you're just "spammming" this section of the forum. And besides i would not go on N82 section and write anything negative about the device for 3 reasons: 1)i don't use the device 2) it's quite rude 3)i don't really care ....Think about it. Regards!

Even most mobile phone review sites proclaim that the best Nokia smartphone up to now is N82. E71 comes close to 2nd. Very few people will favor the N95 8GB over N82. Sorry but that's the truth. N95 8GB is a pointless device, it doesn't specialize on anything. If I want an all-in-one device that doesn't specialize on anything, then I'd rather get a much better, more eyecandy, much slimmer and fresher N85. But if I want an all-in-one device that specializes in photography especially low light photography, nothing beats the N82 even up to now. N95 will be remembered for solely its name. But N82 will be remembered for its excellent image quality and its very powerful Xenon flash that's even more powerful than those of standalone digital cameras.

N81 follows the same design language as N85 and N96, not to mention it also has a naviwheel that's why menu transition is implemented on N81. N82 and the N95 series are totally different from those eye-candy devices. N82 and N95 series have a classic design while N81 and the rest of the gang have modern design so they added menu transition to complement its exterior. A modern-looking phone should have a modern-looking user interface. A classic-styled phone should have a classic-styled user interface. I hope you get what I mean. The best menu transition I've ever seen is the one from N85. Everything you see in the screen including the screen itself is so eyecandy. I just love N85! For people who want to buy N85, I advise that you wait 6 months to 1 year until Nokia replenish new stocks of N85 just like what they did with N82. Usually early versions of Symbian phones not only cost so much but also have terrible build quality. After a year, they will replenish the old stocks with new ones with better build quality, all build issues fixed, latest firmware and much much more affordable. It's the same with N82. About over a year ago, people paid around 500 euros just to buy a silver bland-looking N82 with awkward d-pad and very buggy software. Today people can buy a brand new shiny black N82 with zero percent build issues, comes with the latest v31 firmware for only about 200 euros. So it's foolishness to buy a phone in the first 6 months after its release.

Sean N, 15 Apr 2009I've just bought the N95 8GB for a really good price at $35... morethat's a tough one mate. YOu probably won't lose with neither of them. We had a guy here on this forum who would gladly name 500 reasons why N85 is better but i don't think it's that much of a difference between both units.
N85 is a bit newer and classier, with Oled screen, 8gb card included instead of integrated 8gb and an Fm transmitter which N958gb doesn't have. Apart from newer a bit overworked version of S60 and some transition effects in the menu there's no major difference.
Oh, you should be careful about the buttons on N85 - not a very good move setting them up that way by Nokia and the keyboard is really awefull - can't type one message without mistakes....But hey - it costs less than the legendary N958gb - maybe some of the things i mentioned are a dealbreaker for you, I wouldn't switch my N958gb for N85 even though i could:)For me N85 is a great phone but it's basically just a polished N958gb... Hope you decide good:)

I've just bought the N95 8GB for a really good price at $350. I didn't open it yet because a friend told me that N85 is a better phone which I could buy for around $300 currently. Should I return the N95 8GB and get the N85 instead? Please give your advices. Thanks guys!

tt, 14 Apr 2009like i said. 1% of people think they need need more than 8g... morewow you have just sold this phone to me. I was actually going for the N96 but I text alot and after closer inspection and seeing peoples reviews comparing the two the N96 top 1 2 & 3 buttons are very close to the bottom of the slide and makes its hard to text so Im opting for the N95. Hope Ive made the right choice

Hey guys any idea why n0kia didn't include menu transiti0n on latest fw update for our ph0ne (mine is n82). Or it is n0t compatible with ph0nes using tiomap 2420 proces0r? Why n81 using freescale proces0r have these menu transiti0n! Anybody can enlighten me?

Aaron, 14 Apr 20098GB is not enough to store all your at least 1,000 songs, s... morelike i said. 1% of people think they need need more than 8gb, and 1% of those 1% actually use it. So no need to argue here. If u feel like u need more than 8gb of space, then N958gb is not for you. But you must now that internal memory of N958gb is faster then external cards, and 16gb card is not very cheap and will raise the price of your phone for at least 40-50 €.
So with that said - everyone can make up their mind. I work on a radio station and have about 500 songs on N958gb, loads of pics and progs and i still don't have to delete anything. When people say 8gb is not enough they basically just wanna show off. I know of no one in our country and we are amongst the heaviest users in Europe who would need a 16gb card in a phone - so don't get too smart about it:)

Adnan, 14 Apr 2009The N95 8gb model doesn't have a card slot. Its memory is f... moreyeah but even if you got just the original N95 the maximum capacity of the card slot is 8GB. so either way you'd have the same amount of memory. The N95 8GB is much much faster with more RAM and paging memory. I speak from experience.

8GB is not enough to store all your at least 1,000 songs, some high quality movies, a lot of 5mp pictures and tv-quality videos captured by your phone, not to mention a lot of apps and ngage and symbian games. 8GB is enough for niche phones like N81 but never enough for a multimedia device. Thank God there's no such thing as an N82 8GB. With 16GB card, you'll never have to worry running out of disk space thus not resort on deleting any file.
