i've bought a nokia n95 8gb and for my great astonishment it was a fake one and all option is rather unuseable please do advice how to identify an original one and no gprs no internet connection neither fax

ordered my n95 8gb. didnt see the urge to wait for n96, as it is the first edition and
hasnt evolved(firmwares)yet.
hope battery is ok, important to me. but i couldnt see any decent alternatives next to n95 8gb.
I come from k800, nice phone, but their totally out of ideas SE, no new phones, they lack an all in one device, which nokia and samsung do have, thats why i choose nokia. SE is not number 2, its very low at the moment cant held up with innovation.

as you all know the nokia N95 8gb has out for 9 months but as i know some of the user use the phone until bored as i am also but n96 is damm to slow to come out

here are the steps
Phone must be off.......hold *.......3........and the call button......then swich it on while holding the three butons i told u 2......untill it shows u a boot up screen....

uses the BL-5F...that produses 950 mille ampeer/hour(maH).......its smaller in dimensions....
N95-2 8GB has the BL-6F...producing 1200maH....much bigger than the 5F.....

great phone ive had it for a month and im really satisfied , great camera and phone overall performance but the gps performance isnt so great but works ,great signal coverage too

Aside from the obvious camera and sat nav, what is better out of this and the w960i?
Pros/cons of each, particularly, who's got the best and loudest music player?

Well I had the same trouble yesterday choosing N95 8Gb and N82 but ended up with N82 as well in silver.But like you I still think N95 is also a great cell,I might buy it as a gift for my ma.
