Dawson, 05 Jun 2008When you say wifi is free, its connecting to the internet. ... moreWifi is free cos you are connecting to someone elses internet, not using your own... Most have passwords though for this reason. Using the internet on your phone normally not through wifi will cost you depending on your network

Top phone. The 0.2" increase in screen size from the N95-1 is definitely a noticeable improvement. It's easier to have multiple programs open and multitask with the 128MB RAM. Battery lasts me about 2 days before I need to recharge - not bad for a power hungry beast. The phone could do with a microSD slot so that you have the option of expandable memory, whereas I am just stuck with 8GB on the N95-2. Also, when I used to own an N95-1, it was much easier to transfer stuff from my computer to the microSD card, then slot the card into the phone. Now, on the N95-2, I have to put up with the much slower USB connection. Apart from the lack of expandable memory, this phone has pretty much everything I need. If it were touch screen, I would be highly impressed though. Maybe if it had the N82's Xenon flash, it could be better too. But in all honesty, this is just a fantastic phone that has become my portable computer, due to it's diverse functionality and impressive array of features.

i just got this phone last week. new to nokia phones and im glad i made the switch was going to wait for a whole new generation of phone this summer but decided to ask myself.. is touch screen really that important??? I think i like it due to the fact the N95 can do everything!!! i mean its a jack-of-all-trades phone, cause of its s60 OS which i feel in love with instantly. i know android is coming out soon but seriously if u want a OS that works NOW... get this one

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2008I know this question is some kinda stupid but:
1) Can yo... moreYou can not use the N95 8GB (1200mAH) battery in N95 (950mAH). They are (1) different ratings & (2) different size (thickness).
Well you can if you file it down but that would not be a clever idea.
***Note mAH stands for mili/Ampere/Hour (mili amps per hour)

I know this question is some kinda stupid but:
1) Can you use the battery of Nokia N95 8GB the (BL-6F) to the Nokia N95 which has the battery (BL-5F)
Because I noticed it looks the same and the volts also. The size also... Only different in the capacity.

***Attention***
N95 8GB users with product code 0559497 (O2 UK), the wait is over.
Today (after checking for the past two months) the firmware update version 20.0.016. for the above product code has been released.
Just thought I'd inform anyone who has this product code because everyone has been going on how good the auto-screen-rotate is.
*Note: I recommend you back up & format mass memory before you do the update helps the handset run smoother, in my opinion.
