Thanks for the tips, I will try to do it as you told me:
1.- I will restart my phone (considering contacts will be lost, but I can backup that information) and restart de my PC.
2.- Start PC suit.
3.- Start the updater.
4.- I will just turn off my firewall and antivirus for the time it takes me to upgrade the phone (because I don't know how to allow the firewall to permit app. to function but I think turning the firewall off will solve the problem).
SO I'LL DO THOSE 4 Steps (obviusly the firewall thing first xD)

I have had this phone for about 2 months an had no problems at all as i got my debranded as it was first bought off someone who had Vodafone on it an they an Orange always mess about with the phone software to put all there stupid logos an ridiculous features they add to spoil any mobile,the new software does make it alittle better but i wish the rotate screen was alot better

Wat a Gwaan? nuff luv from Jamaica. I have been reading all the comments on this site about the N95 8GB. I love this fone, I'm considering getting one. I never liked Nokia until someone introduced me to the Nokia N95 8Gb, the phone is awesome. I have the Sony Ericsson P990i and will be upgrading to the Nokia N95 GB..

I see a lot of complains about this phone and I'm sorry about that. My n82 doesn't have any problems at all. and as I read on this site, nobody has. that is the difference between this phones.

dis phone is surely d best phone out der n as fae as rating goes many people who don even own dis phone or cant afford dis phone come to dis postn vote dis phone too low i say n82 n n95 8gb r both br8 phones but still n95 8gb rocks n its ds true king

d problem u r experiencing with video center is coz of fact dat video center cannot handle lerge files it fails to create a thumbnail ...i suggest u upgrade to f/w 20 dis bug is solved ....i have tried putting in 1 gb files n d video center doesnt crash nemore

If this is the king of the phone why is it that N82 has much higher rating than this N95 your saying "return of the king"? can someone please explain it to me?

how do i sort this mess out with the video centre, i can convert movies to any format i want but none of them open in video centre, video centre closes its self down, something to do with a thumbnail, help plz

Can anyone could tell me the speed diffrences between N95 8G and N82 while surfing or browsing internet. Coz it doesn't look similar altough the procceser is same. Kindly pls mail me. TQ

Bought this phone a few months back, heres couple of problems I've run into.
1. Can't seem to get the secondary camera to work - no idea what happened, it used to work, now it's just a plain background.
2. Music gets deleted and re-added onto the phone every time I update it. Any songs deleted on my computer get removed from my phone.
3. Of course there's the usual bad battery and whatnot, but that doesn't really bother me all that much.
If anyone can help me out with my [first two] problems, that'd be great.

I have this phone and it is just great. The only thing that bothers me is the camera shutter sound. Can this sound be removed on the latest firmare version 20.0.016?

I think it has something to do with concentrating all the small icons on that bar (during the screensaver). N95 simply has lots of applications which may be left going in behind. Maybe NSeries weren't supposed to show it all on 2 lines, but on one only, and would it be horizontally, there wouldn't be space enough. So, I think vertically is optimum.

Make sure you first:
1. Restart phone(!) & PC(!)
2. Start PC Suite & leave it working
3. Start the Updater, doesn't matter whether the Updater Program, or the updater enclosed in the Suite.
4. (!!!) Then allow the firewall to permit the app. (each one) to function.
I'm running Kaspersky, and had to turn it off. Don't worry! Turn your firewall & antivirus off, but then turn on the windows firewall & Win. Defender; they will for sure allow you to do anything!
I successfully updated the software on my N95 last night this way!

Hello everybody
I'm having some trouble with the NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER, I tried to update my firmware and in the nokia nseries pc suit asked me to install the last version of the nokia software updater to update my phone, the updated version is v1.4.36es, once I run this aplication to update my firmware it doesn't work and just say: "starting aplication"

i bought a 2200mAh battery and it is rele gd. never worry abt da battery anymore.
