Well I've owned both the N95 (great camera, rubbish GPS) and the N95 8GB, and the 8gb version blows the previous version out of the water.

The display is better, camera is as fab as before, the GPS actually works on the 8gb version without having to use a separate modem.. it's amazing!

It came with operator firmware on it, but de-branded the phone using a £2.95 purchase from eBay, and it runs alot fast now there's no operator firmware on it.

Highly recommend this handset, and totally recommend de-branding it then installing any operator settings you need for Internet and MMS etc from the Nokia website, or using the Settings Wizard on the phone.

Great battery life, even with loads of internet browsing, great call quality - even the music player is good, although I use a phone as a phone/browser, and use my iPod Touch for playing music.

To sum up - a brilliant handset and I can't recommend it highly enough!

n95 has owned n81 in specs

graphic card,5mp camera, vga 30 fps video, tv out, built in gps and in 8gb the screen is huge!!!

        Hi Guys and gals,

Just been told to avoid all the N series nokias like the plague, which is a bit gutting as i really wanted the N95 8GB.

Has anyone experienced the software problems the guy in the shop was raving on about???

        All comments greatfully recieved!

              N95 8G or N81 8G?

IMO, I say the N81. The design is SO much nicer it is very much an entertainment phone. On the other hand, a 5MP camera would be nice which is I guess an advantage of the N95. Apart from that I don't see what is so great about the N95?

              Discucc.

                hi guys,
after reading your comments, I'm still undecided as to which model I should go for: N95 8GB, N82, smasung GPS enabled or HTC cruise. As yo ucan see I'm looking for a phone that has GPS enabled. but also looking for a good quality DG camera phone. Can someone let all know which of the phones has the best GPS interface? Also Which of these 4 phones is cheaper to run (i.e cheaper navigation download). Can you find free maps on the net?
As for the camera quality, i guess the samsung and htc are out. I guess the N82 is best due to its xenon flash?
                Thanks

The speed to search satellite for N95 8Gb is far more faster than N95..Nokia is still the best phone for me

                          opal,

accept the fact that n95 8GB is much better with your n95-1... you better read some reviews about the two... then you'll realize that this phone is much better than what you own right now...

i regret that i switched my N95 to the 8GB crap the screen is rubbish even its bigger 16 million color i say 16 million lie the resolution is a disaster and color brightness is full crap and sound quality of N95-1 is better way better even the camera is is not as good as N95-1 one thing is improved is the built quality now its studier

N95 8GB is much beter.. it has a 1200mA battery
and n95-1 had only 900mA.. this means that n95 8GB stays much longer than n95-1..
the sliding mechanism of this phone also improves than the n95-1

                                  N95 is very good phone..
BATTERY LIFE - i got over 2 days battery on normal usage and some music played on headphones b4 recharging.
                                  (hold loads of music tracks)

some minor differences between G810 and N95...overall....Samsung is getting better and better, not just in Korea / Japan...where technology there is almost alien to elsewhere....

                                        G810 - N95 8GB

                                        TFT, 256K colors - TFT, 16M colors

                                        2.6 inches - 2.8 inches

                                        330 MHz ARM1136 processor - ARM 11 332 MHz processor

xenon flash vs no xenon flash

130 MB shared memory - 8 GB internal memory and128 MB SDRAM memory

both G810 and N95 8GB uses Standard battery, Li-Ion 1200 mAh...........not sure what G810's video fps is....not listed.......same goes for video formats that it supports......
but G810 seems very competitive overall, can win N95 8GB in some aspects!!! ......
