@redice,

We're so glad to hear that you got no problem whatsoever with your latest firmware 15.0.015!...I envy you again may mate! hahaha

Question: Is your N95-2 Branded or De-branded? Here in Philippines, Branded means LOCKED with a Network and De-branded means OPEN LINE (no string attached)

    @patbo,

    Mate, I think version 10.0.021 refers to N95-2! I got the same firmware version as yours! The latest available firmware for my unit is version 11.0.026. But I intend to wait for 15.0.015 rather than going thru series of bring up-to-date! Cheers

      @0p4B,

      Mate, I think your current version 20.0.0 refers to N95-1 classic! Newest firmware version of N95-2 is 15.0.015

          i think the new firmware is good..

          "as of now" i dont have any problem with it..

          ofcourse at first i had some problem coz i have to install some of the softwares i installed before.

          you will see the changes coz its a lot faster, start up is lot faster you know the hands are faster... etc...

              QUESTION - IS THERE ANY SOFTWARE THAT U COULD RECCOMEND / SUGGEST - THAT I CAN USE AS A REMINDER !! ( THAT GIVES OUT A BEEP / ALARM FOR UNSEEN MESSAGES OR MISSED CALLS !!OR GIVES A SCREEN MESSAGE / LIGHT !! FOR A N95 8 GB )im prsently using a nokia e50 , and if i forget to see a sms or missed call a light keeps flashing around the joystick to remind me - my wife uses a moto razor that keeps beeping periodically to remind her that she has a unseen message or missed call - hope u get what im trying to say -:)
              THANXXX AGAIN

                You need to change the product code (EURO1) to update to the latest firmware (currently v20). Many improvements!!

                  I tried upgrading my firmware yesterday to 15, my phone hung up and got loss during the upgrade. Could not recover anymore. Have to bring to repair shop today.
                  I advise you not to upgrade by all means

                        Amir, it's called Firmware and not FIREwall.. anycase, when you purchased a phone from a provider (orange etc) they usually use their own product code.. and that's why you can't upgrade your firmware using Nokia Software Updater.. you need to change your product code using an application called Nemesis to a standard original Nokia code for your device and then use the Software Updater to update your firmware.

                        google it up.

                              No problem man, you explaind it pretty well yourself, i think your idea of going to the Service Center is the better though,its safer.

                                        Hi Stephan
                                        The reason why you only get Dual Mode and GSM is because of the Vodafone firmware, Voda for some weird reason take away the UMTS Only Mode so what you will have to do is change the product code of your N95-8GB to Euro1 product code THEN update the firmware and THEN your N95-8GB will be a generic N95-8GB and will have all the 3 Modes.
                                        But doing all that i think will take away that GPS License. Thats what i hate about Vodacom they brand the phones with that stupid Vodafone firmware
