Hi, can anyone tell me if the v 15.0.0 is avail for uk handsets yet...my firmware is 11.0.026...

i have always owned nokias and am experienced with all of their models. especially the N line. however, i must say that after personally experiencing this phone (buying and then promptly selling on ebay), i am disapointed with nokia's "flagship" model for these major reasons:
1) battery life. only slightly better than original n95 because of bigger screen size, which is not saying much.
2) poor music playing solution
3) nearly useless GPS
4) HUGE and awkward to carry around.
5) poor pictures in dark (this is well known)
i plan to use samsung or SE as my next phone, as i was incredibly disappointed with my experience with nokia.

can someone tell me is N95 8GB have a good slider better than N95?
how bout the processor?
i use N73 now and this phone working so slow . make me always mad . i will buy N95 8GB soon . so please tell me as soon as possible . i dont want dissapointed . thanx .

I updated last nite on voda uk and its version 11 but since they have the monopoly for first few months in uk and they authorise the update for their firmware its weird that they have not released it???
P.S. dont forget it wipes all your fone memory except original themes etc and all the work you have done re-arranging your folders, alarms, txt delivery reports have to be re-activated etc,,,its just like you bought the fone ,,but,,all your mass memory remains including spiderman film but my activation key is not valid so trying to get one via fone but no luck..any ideas as i have not watched film yet..

Yes mate! indeed strange! hahaha! It's a matter of Product Code and Where your unit is made from! Let's just hope this version 15.0.015 will soon be released for Asian version phone! Cheers!

I just bought a Nokia N95 8g Phone. It's so perfect, everything very good. Music very loud and clearly, connect internet so fast. That's excellent phone.

oh. seems i can only get firmware 11 which is strange because, living in the UK, one would think i have the european version.

please do note that firmware 15.0.015 will work only on European versions as of the moment. mine is an asian version so the update didn't work at all and software updater says 11.0.026 is still the latest firmware for my unit.

Thanks for the info buddy! I guess you have now the latest firmware 15.0.015. Your product code should have the European version!...good for you mate! Mine is ASEAN one that still pegged at 11.0.026. I think I'll stay with my original firmware til the release of the latest! huhuhu

Recently, I just visited nokia sites for SOFTWARE UPDATER. I think, Europe and Asia use the same Software updater (Universal Updater) and all it depends on our unit Product Code. I reckon that once it starts, the bring up-to-date processing will recognize our Product code and automatically select the right firmware to be installed! For Asia 11.0.026 and for Europe 15.0.015. Check for your firmware here http://www.nokia.co.uk/link?cid=EDITORIAL_799358 . Enter your Product code and click GO.

Mate, I think the price of US $350.00 for N95 8GB is a HOAX unless it's REFURBISHED or CLONE! The price of brandnew N95 8GB should range from 700 to 800 US Dollar!
