i so want to get one, this phone is amazin when u think computers weren't this good 7 years ago. BUT the price of these "ultra phones" are ridiculous and it takes bout 3 years for them to come down to normal prices

hello everybody!!! i need ur help.. i am seriously thinking of buying this n95 8g, but i am kinda hesitant because of my previous experience with phones of the same sort, like my n91. It always had problems with its hard drive, usually can it cannot be detected and my valuable music, pics and videos suddenly disapeared. PLus i had probs with synchronizing it with my pc. I had it updated, went ok for a while, but the problem came back again.
Can somebody please please advise me if this N95 phone is worth its price or is it just gonna be another headache for me like my N91?

I haven't experienced self-resetting with my present firmware version 10.0.021. Mine made in China (open line).

Mate, you're right! N82 & N95-2 GPS works the same way! Again, you need to establish atleast three (3) satellites in order to locate your location! See my previous posts! For Maps, neither Google nor Nokia maps give better detail. It's a marketing strategy for the 3rd party application! Everything is not Free for now! I'll try to look for a crack one! hahaha! LOL!

My unit is from Malaysia authorized distributor works with the latest firmware.
improvement on the bluetooth headset. No more self resetting. I wonder how many of you are facing the same problem with the prevous version?

Do you know how the N82 would work? Cause I'm sure it have the same function (GPS), and is there a way to download/upload the map onto the phone so that you dont have to pay for it when you're using the gps navigation?

Mate, as far as I know there's no such International or Local GPS. N95-2 is equipped with built-in GPS receiver that locate your position Globally!

Mate, go here for firmware http://www.nokia.com/support . Select your region and country! Click the Download Software tab then follow the procedures! Make sure you have your Product code support the new firmware! Good luck!

Mate, for confirmation I just called Nokia Care Center here in Manila! Todate, they're latest firmware is just 11.00....no version 15.0.0 yet! your files and other applications would remain intact as long they're stored in mass memory and NOT in phone memory! Mate, to make safe always backup all your files and other 3rd party applications! Good luck!

please do note that firmware 15.0.015 will work only on European versions as of the moment. mine is an asian version so the update didn't work at all and software updater says 11.0.026 is still the latest firmware for my unit.

Mate, looks like you have that Theme installed in your unit. Go to your Menu/Tools/Settings/General/Personalisation/Themes/General...from here scroll and highlight the theme then press "C" to delete!

Hey, what happens to the N95-8GB when you can get bigger than 8GB micro SD cards??? And I hate that the 8GB doesnt have a cover for the Lense, N95 is sooo much better :)
