Version 11.0.026 firmwareis now available for the Nokia N95 8GB. The update seems to work fine for N95 8Gb users who have loaded it (105MB). Bug fixes are included of course with the added benefit of a faster and smoother UI operation. There has also been complaints in the Nokia forums about the necessary N95 firmware update. It looks like N95 users have some problems with the keypress. Just so you know.

Hello all
Shortly after the N95 8GB NAM made a surprise appearance on a Nokia mobile site, it’s now looking like we could see the US 3G variant of Nokia’s flagship Nseries device as soon as the middle of February! Mobile City Online has the black beauty listed for preorder at $800 and the published arrival date is February 15, 2008. Sweet! If history repeats itself, MCO will push their expected arrival date back several times before actually receiving the device. Then again, they’re also rarely the first retailer to launch a new phone so we should see the N95 8GB NAM become available from Nokia and / or other online retailers sometime around the middle-end of February. The new N95 will be the third high-end S60 device to be offered with US HSDPA compatibility; let’s hope it’s a new trend and this turns out to be for real. I hope it will come out with touch screen, I will buy two more./.Hung

N95 8GB isnt the 100% Successor to the N95 Classic
N95 8GB is just the improvement Model of the N95 Classic
just wait abit longer and Nokia will make the Proper Successor to the N95 Classic.

i came across a cite babinokia.com where i havee seen N96 which is same like N81 with almost same screen size as N95 8G & most astronishing a TOUCHSCREEN.

Sorry bro! My Navfon just expired few days ago, I haven't use it much! I'm using Google Maps that works great with my unit with better image rendition. GPS works indepedently as it use microwave signals transmitting to our GPS receiver (built-in). GPS is for locating position while Nokia, Google, & Asia maps by NAVFon serve as a guide for navigational tour using wifi or GPRS!
