no memory card?? so how long will it take to get tha looooong movie onto this phone???? - a lot longer than it would take to use a card reader to do it I bet!!!

camera moaners - how often do you carry BOTH your phone AND a small camera, just for those unexpected shots???

They could put Touchscreen in the phone, I think they choose not to. Its not really a feature you get in the N series phones. If you want a touchscreen phone you have to look in the E series.

Which is my point really. At least compare the iPhone to an E series phone. It is like comparing a truck to a sports car - Yes the sports car looks nice and goes fast, but can it tow a trailor or haul concrete?

There is no such thing as the best phone, only the more suitable for you.

I have an N95 and its a fantastic phone so surely this phone just has to be even better. Don't compare it to the other 5MP cameras out there...this phone is in a league of its own.

nicksti, the N95 is great FOR A MOBILE PHONE.

However, I have to agree with you for a few things that you have mentioned. The N95 does have some flaws. I do agree that the N95 needs touch screen and optical zoom in its camera.
It is not impossible to put touch screen and optical zoom in the same phone anyway. The N93(i) had done it with the optical zoom. Now, it is time that Nokia comes up with a phone that has touch screen!

Boasting up to eight gigabytes of built-in memory, the Nokia N95 8GB has all the key features of its predecessor, including a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, built-in A-GPS, WLAN, HSDPA and an innovative 2-way slide. The sleek black N95 8GB also boasts a luminous 2.8" (240 x 320) QVGA display, so watching videos, browsing the Internet or viewing maps is a real pleasure. With its expanded memory, the N95 8GB offers up to 20 hours of video or up to 6000 songs. WOW!

The N95 8gb will be a mad-arse phone! A definite feat of engineering! Well done Nokia, now just ship some this way! :-D

Also, for those that didnt know, the phone also comes with Spiderman 3 preloaded on it!
                      Maad!

Please STOP comparing the iPhone to the N95. The N95 is the most over-rated phone in the existence of phones! Yes, even more so than the iPhone.

If you need driving directions get a Garmin. It comes with a much bigger screen and can mount in your car. The N95 is not practical unless you are on foot.

If you need a nice camera try an actual camera. Without going into how optics work, there is a reason why cameras have barrels for lenses. Do you use your N95 at family functions to take quality pictures?

An iPhone has a touchscreen; something that N series phones lack. Tell someone who needs to do data entry that the N95 is a "better" phone.

Tap away N series users. Tap away.

Disclosure: I do not own an iPhone. Yet.

i had this phone. had to sell it.
                                    battery life sucks
                                    features too complicated to use
camera is worse than 1 megapixel
                                    any many many more shortcomings..
ohh, the camera lense in on top of the ear speaker - it cuts right through the ear when you talk
