tommyM, 31 May 2010I still think this is the best phone to have. I've had mine... moreJust to clarify my post of a few minutes ago: I meant that the HANDSET (not the headset) sound was great - I mean the thing you put up to your ear. PS> It also has output to your TV, a decent calendar, the internet experience can't compare to an iphone, but then again, an iphone can't compare to a laptop! It's also a barcode reader, a dictionary, a bible, and if you like games (not my thing) that too. You can get software to make the letters larger, if you're old like me, but it only works in some programs. And if you get one, you gotta check out Vlingo voice recognition software - you talk in your messages, and it gets REALLY close when it types em up. One click, and they're sent!

I still think this is the best phone to have. I've had mine 1 year, and yes, I do keep looking at iPhones as they ramp up with more features each release. But this Nokia sounds better in the headset, the speakers are awesome, the design is businesslike and sensible, it's very customizable, the videos look good. GPS works, for the most part, I bought ProfiMail for push emails, and it works great. I actually tried to upgrade last week with a Samsung Impression (AT&T, NYC) but I took that back to the store the next day. The Nokia sounds clearer on calls, and is more comfortable to hold. A bit thicker, but much smaller and lighter. It took a long time for Nokia to develop and hone this model (it's the 4th version they released) and I think they got it really about as right as a phone could be designed. Note: I did not install the latest firmware update, as I have heard horror stories about it. It may be fine if you follow the correct procedure (reinstall everything, but not from a back up, - do it fresh from the .sis files) - but I didn't want to take any chances, and it's working fine as is. Great WiFi too. And Internet Telephone Service, with Gizmo5 (sipphone.)

Specifications by specifications, I think n82 is the one parallel to n95 8gb. You can check it also by your self here in gsm arena. N82 has an advantage of xenon flash over n95 8gb while n95 8gb has an advantage of larger display of 2.8 inches as against 2.4 inches display of n82. I hope it helps.
