I using N96, the latest firmware had rectifies the battery problem. And there is a lot of software run smooth on it, if u experience a little slow, kindly install your theme in the phone memory, others all using the 16GB memory, leave the phone memory as empty as possible. if you wish to set ur own pic as wallpaper put it into the phone memory as well. others all ok, i always surf net and listen song at college, so far the batt stil can last me whole day, even if i run the GARMIN gps also. Speaker are sweet. Core Player works very well on it, movie are havin great resolution. The only problem is the S60 script now still cant really support 8GB SDHC, will will be laggy, 4GB SDHC are well perform. Wish upcoming firmware will rectifies this prob. Only bad things is the camera are not very good as expected, nite scene not nice, other all are fine much better compare to N95, but lose to N82, and there is no instance button for camera, need to hold the capture button to active camera, tats the only thing i dun like, other all are great. worth to buy!! Best part is the screen, while u tile it and on GPS, goods good while driving and very clear. Again save ur pocket to invest another addition GPS.

Kenzo, 28 Feb 2009I knw wat u mean.. Try upd8ing firmware via nsu then switch... moreKenzo, you're an imbecile. I used BL-6F on my N96 and now the battery's gone to hell. I had to waste 40 euros to get a Bl-5F! And I've also got a cracked back panel. That's another waste of money.

Try upd8ing firmware via nsu then switch al unecesory conections of lyk bluetooth and wifi scaning.. Then switch of the navi weel breathing light. Close ur music player if u not using it . On music pres options then scrol up 2ice select exit. This is the last thing u can do 2 salvage bettery is 2 switch 2 power saving mode. Power buton then activte power saving mode.
U cn also try the BL-6F bettery from the N95 8gb. Rumor is it fits bt the back cover dosnt close properly.

I like the phone but have to say it is far too slow sometimes and i find it completely freezing sometimes. Battery life as with my last nokia (N95) is pretty poor too. I use the net a lot so this completely kills the battery then i have to run about the rest of the day with no phone. Its a good phone but I did expect a lot more. Would rather have kept my N95

[N72? That phone has been around since 2006. The N72 doesn't stand a chance against the N96 when it comes to memory, and IMHO it's no longer a head-turner.]

N96 is a good product. I'm using it in Nigeria and proud of all Nokia products. The only problem I have with N96 it does not support downloading from internet when browsing either from phone or by using USB. What can I do?

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2009just got the n96. i installed new themes for n96 and they ... moreAnonymous - just got the n96. i installed new themes for n96 and they are ok in all screens but not in the screen when I make or receive a call. It always returns to default 02 theme. Any suggestions?
[Go to Tools>Settings>General>Personalisation>Themes>Call Image and select 'Theme Image', or 'User Defined' if you have a preference.]
I also can't uninstal the 02 screen saver and 02 greeting, it's not in the application manager and nothing from 02 shows up when going in through the pc.
Does anyone know how that can be removed and what is the file called?
[I also got my N96 from O2, but as an upgrade. For some strange reason, the N96 that O2 gave me was unbranded; it didn't have the rudimentary O2 'Wecome' greeting, O2 theme, nor the screensaver. I was even able to update the software via NSU the same day that I got it.
Doing a hard reset doesn't help to take the branding off the phone. I tried that already with my O2-issued N82. The product code also limits you to the specific version for your branded phone in case you update it via NSU (what is your phone's product code, by the way?). I'm also not aware of any PC software that would be able to do the same.]
