overall its a good phone but has certain drawbacks. as compared to its adversary the n95 the 96 is much slower, mainly due to its heavy memory capacity, also due to this sometimes the phone becomes too slow thus forcing the user to restart it.
all in all i still would prefer the 95 as not much is done in this one

common N95 came first, it was awesome, the N95 8GB came, it was even better, now N96 comes, what may be next 0.0

I upgraded to this a few weeks ago - and within 24hrs it was clearly evident that Nokia have come up with a duff concept. It feels cheap and nasty - and that is all before you encounter the functioanlity issues!! I couldn't boot the phone up - took 30+ minutes to get to the SIM security no. screen - then when it FINALLY got to the home page, all of the functions kept locking out. It is true that the screen resolution is simply fantastic, but that's not much use when nothing else works properly My advice - steer well clear because it's useless. I sent it back and exchanged for Sony Ericcson Xperia X1 (which is quite brilliant by the way).

and u will find out wats wrong with ur N96 coz they all neva complain about thire betteries its just buggs here and there.....

if you got the N95 stick with it, N96 has not been thought of holistically. it is no where compared to the N95.just bigger space and does not have RAM to back it up. very slow and battery life....might as well buy spare batteries.....big mistake i made.

Hi can anyone answer me this? how do you set your N96 to end a call when you slide the phone down ? as it can get quite annoying.............

Guys, some N96 users are changing the battery model from 950Am to 1200Am, the same model is in the N78..., but you must be careful wot you do with your N96, you made see a bit back battery door hoovering but not much you made have longer live about 30%.

Do you know if and when they will come up with a better battery for N96 ???? It is the worst , if you strat to use GPS or play music or games it doesn't last more than two hours max
For a phone with so many functions ( music , video, gps , games ) the battery should last longer

I have recently purchased the N96 on contract and overall i find this is a good phone, it does have its bad points tho i have found the auto rotate function a bit slow an sometimes freezes and can get quite anoying, also when replying to a message the message box will also take a while to open. Good points are the screen and sound quality. I mean all together im not quite satisfied with this phone but like to stick with nokia. and currently waiting for the 5800 xpress music

i have had the n96 for a month nw and i am on my second 1 itis the worst fone i have ever had the n95 was bad but this is really bad vi wouldn't recomend it 2 any 1......;( go 4 the c905
