... moreThats not true....Nokia-Chiness Made models are exacly the same as Finland made 1nes...the only difference is that ,in finland made models there is virtualy none if minute faulty finished products by the Nokia factory in Finland....A higher paid stuff and more testing be4 they releas the finish product....Hence they are a little more expensive than Nokia-Chinees made models.
As 4 Nokia-Chinees made models ..the currency in China is low the so is the poverty High...hence low cost labour..that also means the monitoring is also less and the testing a little effecient than Nokia-Finland made....
The distribution from Production factories is divided in regions....Australia lies in the chinees regoin.
The chinees factory is much neerer than the Finland factory...

Bought this phone and using it for already nearly 3 weeks.Previously using N82 and very stable phone.N96 really let me down.It hang and restart and poor battery life.

The N96 sold here is made in China.
All these people say "Made in China" is no good, what's with that, THEY ARE DIRECTLY FROM NOKIA.
Why does Nokia send us their rubbish phones?

love this phone. This is the best I've had by far. The pictures and videos are just clear and even the sounds... I would definitely recommend this phone to others.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I have been a nokia fan for a long time......not any more.
I purchased this phone (Australia) and have returned it twice. I am now on my 3rd, however the menu has changed from my first 2!! Have other Australians had faults? I have been told by the store they have since had a (80ish% return rate), I must of been one of the first to buy.
The staff told me that it has definatley changed menu designs, looking more like the N95. Makes me wonder if it still has the same specs.
TOTALLY LOST RESPECT FOR THE COMPANY!!!!

No ways....N95 8GB dumies look newer than N96 1nes....yet they almost 2 years old.
Id like 2 see you pay R10 750 for a phone thats got a 5 year old chip set...and a slow CPU that lags even wen having 7GB of its internal memory...that will also look & feel like its 8months old when its only 3 weeks coz its prone 2 scratches..
I dnt knw about you.. but im not willing 2 spend R10 750 for all of that!
I work 4 Nokia so il wait till they give me 1 at work.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2008i just bought my n96, and it's a disappointment, three days... moremaybe its china phone thats why a few weeks/days its not working anymore..
you should buy at the authorized store..so that you can be sure of its quality..
just my opinion..
